On 06/19/26 I, (Ptl. Simpson) responded in normal patrol mode to [1200 BLOCK] Catalina Ln in reference to Family Violence, which occurred within Albany City Limits.
Upon arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1] who stated that her boyfriend, Dontarius Wilson choked her. [VICTIM #1] stated that Dontarius came home drunk and was still in his feelings from an argument that happened 2 days prior. She was sitting on the couch and he came and sat next to her and was kissing on her and was just annoying her. She advised that she didnt want his attention and told him to leave her alone and to get away from her.
She stated that at one point, he was standing over her and he bit her ear right ear. She stated that he grabbed her neck and all she could feel was his fingernails digging into her neck and stated she had trouble breathing. [VICTIM #1] advised that she recorded the whole incident due to the fact that she was unsure of what was gonna happen and she wanted proof just in case.
Dontarius had already left the scene by the time I arrived. I observed the video and heard her say multiple times to leave her alone to get away from her to which he did not. I observed [VICTIM #1]s neck. She had visible scratch marks on the left side of her neck indicating where Dontarius fingernails had been. The video and pictures will be submitted and logged into evidence.
Ptl. Loud canvassed the area and had a visual of a male subject matching the clothing description that was given through dispatch. I made contact with the subject in the 2100 block of Beachview Dr. I asked him his name and he stated it was Dontarius Wilson. At that time I stated he was detained and he was placed in double locked cuffs to the rear and placed in my patrol car (19-007).
I advised to Dontarius that I needed to read the Miranda warning before asking or answering any of his questions to which he stated that he refused to talk. At that time I notified Sergeant Franklin and he got a hold of the on-call investigator.
I made contact with Investigator Ellis and she advised for me to go ahead and take Dontarius to jail, and that she would conduct an interview with [VICTIM #1] this morning at the LEС.
I advised [VICTIM #1] of what would be occurring next and gave her a resource card with the case number.
I, then transported Dontarius to Dougherty County Jail. Upon arrival, I secured my firearm in the trunk of the patrol car while in the Jail. Dontarius was turned over to the Jail staff without incident.
The rear of my patrol car was searched for contraband and none was found.
A GCIC/NCIC check was conducted on all parties with negative results for being wanted.
