Ptl. M. Warner responded with emergency lights and sirens to [300 BLOCK] S. Cleveland St. in reference to a family violence incident that occurred within the city limits of Albany, Georgia.
Upon arrival, I made contact with B/F [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that on 06/26/26, she advised her son, B/M Erdavion Evans, that on 06/27/26 she would take him to Aspire to seek assistance for his drug abuse and schizophrenia. [VICTIM #1] stated that at approximately 0630 hours, she attempted to transport Evans to the crisis center; however, Evans refused to go, exited the vehicle, and walked away in an unknown direction.
[VICTIM #1] stated she then returned home and informed her mother, B/F [VICTIM #2], and her stepfather, B/M [VICTIM #3], of what had occurred. Evans later returned to the residence while [VICTIM #3] was outside mowing the yard. [VICTIM #1] advised Evans that he was no longer welcome at the residence due to the disturbances he had been causing. Evans became loud and irate, yelling about a pair of clippers he believed were inside the residence.
[VICTIM #1] advised that [VICTIM #2] and [VICTIM #3] slightly opened the front door to look outside; however, they would not allow Evans back inside the residence. [VICTIM #1] stated Evans then retrieved a flathead screwdriver from outside where his belongings were located and forced his way back into the residence while holding the screwdriver. [VICTIM #1] stated Evans attempted to use the screwdriver against [VICTIM #3]. [VICTIM #3] and [VICTIM #2] attempted to prevent Evans from doing so, and a struggle ensued.
[VICTIM #1] stated Evans then kicked her, causing her to fall toward the couch. As she attempted to get back up, Evans kicked her again, and all parties began struggling again. [VICTIM #1] stated Evans then charged at [VICTIM #3] with the screwdriver, and another struggle ensued. When [VICTIM #2] intervened, Evans struck her in the palm of her left hand with the screwdriver.
[VICTIM #1] advised all involved parties then began attempting to attack Evans, at which time she attempted to call law enforcement. While attempting to do so, she accidentally dropped her Motorola G 2025 cellular phone. Evans picked up the phone and threw it into the roadway, causing damage. [VICTIM #1] advised the damage was valued at approximately $185.00. A written statement was obtained from [VICTIM #1].
I observed a puncture wound with blood in the palm of [VICTIM #2]’ left hand but was unable to obtain photographs due to it being bandaged. Cpl. Ely removed the bandage and took photos. [VICTIM #2] refused Emergency Medical Services and rendered aid to herself by cleaning and bandaging the wound.
Evans was then taken into custody and handcuffed. The handcuffs were checked for proper fit and double locked to the rear of his back. [VICTIM #3] and Evans then began engaging in a verbal altercation. While Evans was being escorted on foot to the patrol vehicle, he turned around and spat toward [VICTIM #3]. [VICTIM #3] then became loud and irate, at which time he was detained and placed in the rear of Ptl. Harrells patrol vehicle.
A supplement will be completed by Ptl. Holt and Ptl. Harrell in reference to the victims they spoke with and their observations. See their supplements for further details. The flathead screwdriver was collected and will be logged into evidence by Ptl. Holt.
Sgt. Dorminy responded to the scene.
Investigator Ely responded to the scene and will be issuing warrants for two counts of Aggravated Assault, Criminal Trespass, Simple Assault, Simple Battery, and Obstructing or Hindering Persons Making Emergency Telephone Calls.
An NCIC/GCIC check was conducted on all involved parties, which yielded negative results.
This case is domestic in nature due to [VICTIM #1] and Evans living in the same household.
This case was transferred to Investigator Ely and was cleared by arrest.
