I, Ptl Loud responded in normal mode to [1300 BLOCK] Avalon Ave in reference to a Fraud later identified as Unlawful Use of 911 Emergency. I confirmed with dispatch that the caller called the emergency line.
Upon arrival, I made contact with Gayle Hill who stated she has some paperwork for the FBI. I responded to the location earlier in the shift after Gayle called 911 in reference to a contact person for some paperwork for the GBI. I warned Gayle that 911 was used for emergencies only and to use the non-emergency line for all other non emergencies. Gayle told me she did not have a working phone so she would be calling 911 again. I warned her that she would be charged if she done so.
I advised Gayle to step out of the washer area and to place her hands behind her back. Gayle refused my instructions. While we were trying to get Gayle to cooperate with our instructions, her mother [REDACTED] pushed the door back on me. I instructed [REDACTED] several times to step outside but she kept pushing the door back on me. I held her back and instructed her to stop pushing the door on me. Myself and Ptl Wiley were able to place Gayle in double locked hand restraints and I searched her persons for weapons and drugs with negative results. I placed her in the rear of my patrol vehicle.
Sgt Franklin responded to the scene.
I did not charge [REDACTED] due to her being 84 years old.
I completed a citation for Unlawful Use of 911 Emergency Telephone (G0066768). I transported Gayle to the Dougherty County Jail without further incident.
