On June 8, 2026, I, Ptl. A. Mack, responded to [2700 BLOCK] W Oakridge Dr Lot [REDACTED] in reference to a law demented person.
Upon arrival, I made contact with EMS personnel, who advised that they had responded to a call for medical assistance. EMS personnel stated they attempted to make contact with a black male later identified as Javontay Broner, who had called requesting medical assistance. EMS advised that upon making contact with Broner, he began laughing and smiling but would not explain what medical services he needed.
I then made contact with Broner and attempted to obtain further information regarding the reason he contacted 911. Broner stated, “I didn’t call you; I called EMS.” I advised Broner that EMS personnel were present and needed to know what was going on with him. Broner began laughing and smiling before picking up a book and reading it.
I asked Broner if the previous officer had educated him regarding the unlawful use of 911, and he confirmed that she had. I then asked Broner if he wanted to be transported to Aspire, and he stated that he did not.
Based on my investigation, Broner was placed into handcuffs, double-locked for safety. A search of Broner for weapons and/or contraband was conducted with negative results. Broner was then placed in the rear seat of my patrol vehicle and transported to the Dougherty County Jail, located at 1302 Evelyn Ave., without incident. Upon arrival at the jail, Broner was turned over to jail staff for booking.
Ptl. J. Jackson had previously responded to the residence earlier in the day and advised that Broner did not provide EMS personnel with a reason for his call and refused to disclose any medical concerns he may have had. Ptl. Jackson further advised that he educated Broner on the offense of Unlawful Use of 911, and Broner stated that he understood. Broner contacted Law enforcement on 06/08/2026 at 23:19 hours and again at 23:59 hours.
NCIC/GCIC search for warrants was conducted on all parties involved, yielding negative results.
This case is cleared by arrest.
