On 08/08/2026 I Ptl Estrada responded in normal patrol mode to [700 BLOCK] Burke Ave Apt [REDACTED] in reference to an Aggravated Assault. This incident occurred in the city limits of Albany.
Upon arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that her boyfriend Kawaskee Green punched her and choked her. [VICTIM #1] stated that she was sitting in her bed when Green walked inside her residence. [VICTIM #1] stated that she leaves the door open just in case her neighbors try to get in touch with her and she doesnt answer the phone. [VICTIM #1] stated that Green got her phone and started looking through it. [VICTIM #1] stated that she believes that Green saw something she shouldnt have. [VICTIM #1] refused to elaborate on what he saw but later stated that it was text between her and another man. [VICTIM #1] stated that she was supposed to meet up with the man but she cut things off. [VICTIM #1] stated that after Green saw the messages he punched her in the top of the head and in her jaw with his right hand. [VICTIM #1] stated that Green then choked her with his left hand causing her to gasp for air. [VICTIM #1] stated that she felt like she could breathe a little.
[VICTIM #1] stated that as Green was choking her she had to gasp for her to be able to tell Green to leave her alone or she was going to call the police. [VICTIM #1] stated that if Green would have kept on choking her she would have fainted. [VICTIM #1] stated that she managed to push Gren off her with both hands. [VICTIM #1] stated that once she told Green she was going to call police Green hawled tail going towards Holloway. [VICTIM #1] stated that she was following Green because he was attempting to leave while she was calling police. [VICTIM #1] stated that Green stated to stop following him. [VICTIM #1] stated that Green then pushed her away causing her to fall and have a laceration on her arm.
I then made contact with Ptl Rathel and Ptl Martin, who found Green in the 700-blk Corn Ave. Ptl Rathel advised that he read Green his Miranda Rights. Ptl Rathel stated Green stated that he went into the residence to retrieve his CDs. Ptl Rathel advised that Green stated that after he got his CDs [VICTIM #1] started acting irate due to her being intoxicated. Ptl Rathel advised that Green stated that when he attempted to leave [VICTIM #1] closed the door, causing it to hit Green’s shoulder and then bouncing back to [VICTIM #1]. Ptl Rathel stated that they did find CDs on Green.
I observed that [VICTIM #1] had a swollen jaw and cheek. I observed that [VICTIM #1] had a cut on top of her right eye brow and next to her eye. I also observed that [VICTIM #1] had a scratch on her left side of her neck. I observed that [VICTIM #1] had a small laceration in her ear. I observed that [VICTIM #1] had a laceration on her right arm near her elbow. I did not observe any marks or bruises on Green. I observed [VICTIM #1]’s room where the incident took place. I observed that the bed sheets were falling off the bed with a pillow. I photographed the room, and [VICTIM #1]s injuries and they will be placed at 201 W Oglethorpe Blvd locker 2 for evidence.
