While walking to my patrol vehicle (19-983) at 201 W. Oglethorpe Blvd. (L.E.C.), I heard and observed two black males arguing outside 200 W. Oglethorpe Blvd. (DFCS). While crossing the street to make contact with the individuals, both males continued arguing and causing a disturbance. One male was wearing a purple Lakers shirt and was later identified as Larry Brown. The other male was wearing a white shirt and was identified as Roger Lewis.
Larry and Roger continued arguing while [REDACTED] and [REDACTED], both security guards on duty, stood between the two individuals in an attempt to separate them. I heard both males make threats of violence toward one another.
Roger advised that he entered the office and Larry told him he was not going to skip the line. Roger stated Larry then began cursing at him. Roger was loud and aggressive while being interviewed. Both Roger and Larry continued exchanging threats toward each other while on scene.
I made contact with [REDACTED], who advised that Roger entered the office and skipped the line, which resulted in a verbal altercation between Roger and Larry. [REDACTED] advised that Larry was escorted outside by security in an attempt to separate the two individuals. [REDACTED] stated Roger later went outside for an unknown reason, and the two continued arguing, causing a disturbance.
I made contact with Larry, who advised that Roger entered the office and skipped the line, resulting in a verbal altercation between the two. Larry advised he was escorted outside by security personnel. Larry stated Roger later went outside, and the two continued arguing. Larry advised they exchanged words before Roger pulled out a knife and told him he was going to “f*ck him up.”
I made contact with [REDACTED], who was inside the office. [REDACTED] advised he heard Larry threaten to “whoop his whole a*s,” referring to Roger, before Larry went outside. Both Larry and Roger were placed in double-locked handcuffs behind their backs without incident. A search incident to arrest was conducted on Roger, during which a small pocketknife was located on his person.
Larry was issued a misdemeanor municipal Disorderly Conduct citation (Citation #BB002823). Roger was also issued a misdemeanor municipal Disorderly Conduct citation (Citation #BB002824).
Larry was transported to the Dougherty County Jail by Ptl. Medlock, where he was booked on the above charge. Roger was transported to the Dougherty County Jail by Ptl. Simpson, where he was also booked on the same charge.
This case is cleared by arrest.
