On 06/04/25, I (Ptl. M. Holt) responded in normal patrol mode to 201 Thornton Dr (Luxury Inn) in reference to a Disorderly Conduct call.

Upon my arrival, I made contact with a B/F (later identified as [VICTIM #1]) who advised she had been hit and had a weapon pulled out by her neighbor, a B/F (later identified as Lawanda Thomas) at the Luxury Inn Hotel. [VICTIM #1] advised her and Lawanda had got into an argument after a few drinks. [VICTIM #1] advised Lawanda became aggressive during the argument. [VICTIM #1] advised Lawanda pushed her and then pulled out a weapon or a knife. [VICTIM #1] was asked if she saw where Lawanda put the “weapon”, [VICTIM #1] advised “no.” [VICTIM #1] advised that she never making physical contact with Lawanda. [VICTIM #1] also advised she never made a comment about Lawanda’s deceased daughter.

I made contact with Lawanda who advised her and [VICTIM #1] had been drinking together. Lawanda advised [VICTIM #1] had asked her for $10.00 to get some alcohol. Lawanda stated she’s always helping people out at the hotel. Lawanda advised her and [VICTIM #1] had got into an argument and it escalated because [VICTIM #1] made a comment about Lawanda’s deceased daughter. Lawanda denies she pulled a weapon or a knife out on [VICTIM #1], but Lawanda admitted to pushing [VICTIM #1].

A NCIC/GCIC search was conducted on all parties for possible wants/warrants which yielded negative results. Based off of Lawanda’s confession to pushing [VICTIM #1], Lawanda was arrested for disorderly conduct outside of the hotel. Lawanda was placed in double-locked handcuffed to the rear and search incident to arrest by Ptl. Harris. The search yielded negative results for any contraband and weapons. Lawanda was placed in the rear of patrol vehicle #18-191. An arrest booking card was completed prior to our arrival. Lawanda was not complaining of any injuries at this time. Lawanda was strapped in a safety belt. Lawanda was transported to the Dougherty County Jail by me.

Upon my arrival to the jail, I placed his weapon in the trunk of the patrol vehicle and escorted her into the jail. Lawanda was accepted to the jail without incident. The rear of the patrol vehicle was searched for contraband with negative results. This case is domestic in nature due to the fact that share children together.

Lawanda was cited a misdemeanor citation for disorderly conducted, violating City Ordinance Code Section 38-43 when Lawanda pushed [VICTIM #1] outside on hotel property. (Citation #BB001969

This case was cleared by an arrest.
