Today 08.30.2026 I responded in normal patrol mode to [500 BLOCK] S Madison St in reference to Family Violence.
Upon arrival, I made contact with Michelle Crawford in the front yard. Crawford stated her cousin, Imani Williams, attacked her and destroyed her room. She stated the incident stem from an argument. Crawford stated Imani went through her messages between her and [REDACTED] and discovered she was talking about her. She stated they began arguing and Williams tried to attack her with a broom stick. Crawford stated Williams tried to pull her ponytail and stole her Id along with other cards. I asked if anyone witnessed this incident, which she stated yes.
I made contact with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated Williams asked Crawford to use her phone. He stated Williams saw that Crawford was talking about her and wanted her to go outside and fight her. [WITNESS #1] stated Williams picked up a broom stick and pointed at her. He stated Crawford then grabbed the shower rod from the bathroom. [WITNESS #1] stated he told Crawford to walk away, but she refused and continued arguing with Williams. He stated they both hit each other and Williams pulled Crawfords ponytail off. [WITNESS #1] stated he separated them. He stated he heard things being throwed around, however he didn’t see who done it. [WITNESS #1] stated both continued to argue and Williams told Crawford to come outside and fight. He stated during the argument he heard something break and later discovered the window busted. I asked if he saw what happened to the window, which he stated no.
I made contact with Imani Williams outside. Williams stated they were sitting across the street at a neighbors house when men began talking about Crawfords breasts. She stated the men were flirting with her and Crawford was upset because she didn’t defend her. Williams stated she walked away from Crawford to de-escalate the situation. She stated Crawford followed her back to the house and she asked to use her phone. Williams stated she saw messages between Crawford and [REDACTED] and they were talking about her. She stated Crawford picked up a pole and hit her with it. Williams stated she then picked up a stick and hit her back. She stated [WITNESS #1] intervened and separated them. I asked Williams if she had taken Crawfords belongings, which she denied. I asked if she threw Crawfords belongings around in her room, which she stated no. I asked Williams if she had broken the window, which she stated no. Williams advised Crawford threw something and broke the window.
Both, Crawford and Williams was placed in double locked handcuffs to the rear, searched incident to arrest, and placed in the backseat of separate patrol vehicles.
I conducted a wanted check through GCIC/NCIC on all parties, which was met with positive results. Williams had an active warrant for Probation Violation (WNO 114137 DOW 05/27/2026) The warrant was confirmed by [REDACTED] at the Dougherty County Jail and verified by Dispatcher [REDACTED].
Photos were taken of the room. The photos were properly stored in Property Management evidence locker 02.
This case is not domestic nature due to both parties being cousins and not living together.
