Upon arrival I made contact with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that earlier today he was outside grilling and that he received a call from his kids asking if they can come over. [WITNESS #1] stated that his kids came over and a little while later his children mother (Ta’liscia Ward) also had come over. [WITNESS #1] stated that Ward was drunk and they started to ask her to just leave the location.

[WITNESS #1] stated that Ward walked to the neighbor’s house and was trying to fight them. [WITNESS #1] stated that the neighbors called him and he went next door to get Ward. [WITNESS #1] stated that he kept repeating to Ward to go home. [WITNESS #1] stated that his girlfriend [VICTIM #1] is wheel chair bound and even she was asking Ward to go home.

[WITNESS #1] stated that he told Ward that he would keep all the kids but one, but [VICTIM #1] stated that all the kids could stay as long as Ward left. [WITNESS #1] stated that Ward walked up in the house and punched [VICTIM #1] in the face and he went inside and grabbed her. [WITNESS #1] stated that Ward got away from him and struck [VICTIM #1] again in the face. [WITNESS #1] stated that [VICTIM #1] couldn’t defend herself due to she was in the wheel chair.

I made contact with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that Ward had been drinking the whole day. [VICTIM #1] stated that Wards kids had come over and wanted to stay with them. [VICTIM #1] stated that she agreed to let the kids stay and Ward had come over unannounced. [VICTIM #1] stated that Ward became irate and was causing a disturbance. [VICTIM #1] stated that she told [WITNESS #1] that Ward had to leave. [VICTIM #1] stated that Ward ran up on her in her home and struck her in the face several times before they were separated.

Ptl. Harrell made contact with [WITNESS #2], who was present during the incident. [WITNESS #2] stated that [WITNESS #1] and Ward’s kids had come over earlier that day. [WITNESS #2] stated that Ward had come over unannounced but they decided to let he stay. [WITNESS #2] stated that Ward became irate and was starting stuff with everyone. [WITNESS #2] stated that both [WITNESS #1] and [VICTIM #1] kept asking Ward to leave the residence. [WITNESS #2] stated that she observed Ward run into their house and hit [VICTIM #1] in the face.

I made contact with Ward while on scene. Ward was very intoxicated and kept repeating that she was trying to get [WITNESS #1] to get his kids and he wouldn’t. Ward stated that someone hit her and that’s why she hit [VICTIM #1]. Ward was very uncooperative and kept yelling over me talking with the [WITNESS #1] and stating “Fu*k that who*e”. I asked Ward to calm down and she stated that “I’ll hit that bit*h again”. Ward kept trying to walk up to [WITNESS #1]’s house.

While on scene I asked Ptl. Warner to place Ward into double locked handcuffs to the rear. Ward started to resisting arrest by pulling away from Ptl. Warner. Ptl. Warner, Ptl. Harrell and Sgt. Laethem all assisted in getting Ward into handcuffs. When escorting Ward to the patrol vehicle, she started resisting again. Ward had to be placed in leg restraints due to she was kicking the patrol vehicle’s (19-003) back inside door very hard. Ptl. Warner transported Ward to the Dougherty County Jail with me following her.

Upon arrival at the jail, I placed my duty weapon in the trunk of my vehicle and I escorted Ward into the jail intake staff.
