On March 27, 2025, I responded to [400 BLOCK] S McKinley St in normal patrol mode in reference to a family violence. Upon arrival, I made contact with a black female, Tonekqua Jones, who stated her ex-boyfriend, B/M [VICTIM #1], busted her lip and her back window to her vehicle (red 2006 Toyota Camry with Georgia #[REDACTED]).
Ms. Jones stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] unexpectedly came to her residence without her permission. Ms. Jones stated when she was walking inside of her residence, Mr. [VICTIM #1] followed behind her. Ms. Jones stated she asked Mr. [VICTIM #1] to leave her residence several times but he refused. Ms. Jones stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] started to pace the house as if he was looking for something. Ms. Jones stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] hit her possible with his hand or a bottle but she was not sure. She stated he opened the front door and the back door of the residence.
Ms. Jones stated she felt as if he was about to try and do something to her so she grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stated “I’m going to fu*k you up in here if you don’t leave.” Ms. Jones stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] left and went back to his vehicle (2012 Silver Chevrolet Impala GA tag #[REDACTED]) that was parked alongside of the road. Ms. Jones stated after a few minutes she walked outside to see if Mr. [VICTIM #1] was gone but stated he was not. Ms. Jones stated she fell on the ground due to her being intoxicated, [VICTIM #1] then dragged her into the house. Ms. Jones stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] continued to hit her.
While talking to Ms. Jones, her story continued to change. Ms. Jones stated at one point Mr. [VICTIM #1] was knocking at her front door and she opened the door. Ms. Jones then stated she was outside of her residence when she was pulled into the residence by [VICTIM #1]. Once I informed Ms. Jones her stories are not adding up she stated she does not know what happened because she was drunk but she does know that her vehicle window is busted and her lip is busted. Ms. Jones stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] took his headlight off of his vehicle and hit her with it. Ms. Jones stated she attempted to pepper spray Mr. [VICTIM #1] but it did not work. Ms. Jones stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] left walking on foot headed east on W Mercer Ave.
I observed a small abrasion to Ms. Jones’s top lip, left side of her face and left buttock. Med 2 treated Ms. Jones. I observed a shattered back window to her vehicle. It appears that a E&J 750 Ml bottle was used to bust the window due to it being inside of the vehicle. I observed a sliver Santoku knife with a black handle lying on the hood of Mr. [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle. I collected pictured of Ms. Jones injuries and will be logged into Albany Property Management locker 02.
I made contact with Mr. [VICTIM #1] via phone who advised he was at [600 BLOCK] S Jackson St. I responded there and observed several lacerations to Mr. [VICTIM #1]. I observed a stab wound to Mr. [VICTIM #1]’s left bicep that was actively bleeding. There were several abrasions on Mr. [VICTIM #1]’s body; left elbow, lower back, and to his left and right knee. I asked Mr. [VICTIM #1] to explain to me what happened and he stated they were out at his grandma’s residence having drinks. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated when they returned back to the residence ([400 BLOCK] S McKinley St) everything went wrong. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated Ms. Jones started an argument with him about their past so she asked him to leave. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated he was walking to his vehicle so they could separate and calm down but Ms. Jones followed him to the car with the knife and begin to cut him.
Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated they were tussling in the middle of the road before he was able to get away from Ms. Jones. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated he was trying to leave in his vehicle but was unable to due to Ms. Jones cutting him. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated he did bust her window with the E&J Bottle after the fact due to her cutting him. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated Ms. Jones took his one working headlight out of his vehicle and threw it towards the house. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated he left walking to [600 BLOCK] S Jackson St to get away from Ms. Jones. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated several times that he did not want to press charges on Ms. Jones due to her having a kid. I gathered pictures of Mr. [VICTIM #1]’s injuries and will log the pictures into Albany Property Management locker 02.
Mr. [VICTIM #1] was transported to Phoebe Main by Med 1 where he later left the emergency room AMA.
I responded back to [400 BLOCK] S McKinley St and placed Jones was taken into custody. I collected the knife that was located on the ground in the grass. It was moved from the hood of Mr. [VICTIM #1]’s car by Ms. Jones due to her not wanting Mr. [VICTIM #1] to get it if he would have come back. The knife will be logged into evidence. Ms. Jones was placed in double-locked handcuffs behind her back and was searched with negative findings of any weapon or contraband. Ms. Jones was placed in the rear seat of my patrol vehicle 18-205.
Sgt. S. Richardson was notified of this incident. Detective Baldwin was notified and I was informed to transport Ms. Jones to Dougherty County Jail for Aggravated Assault.
Ms. Jones was transported to the Dougherty county Jail where she was released to the jail staff.
This case is active and forwarded to investigations.
