On 07/24/2025 I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Ponderosa Loop on reference to a physical domestic call in progress. The caller advised dispatch that the parties were arguing and then they began to be physical with one another. Upon my arrival I had contact with a male, later known as Jarrian Brown in the driveway.
Jarrian started stating that he and his wife, [VICTIM #1], was in an argument over how he was having the children clean his truck. He said he told her that he was not going to keep going back and forth with her over this matter. He said [VICTIM #1] then went and got a firearm and told him that he was not going to touch her and she would shoot him in his face. He said they were having a disagreement and he was putting his hands up and she was slapping his hands. He then said that he was not going to keep being disrespected in his house.
After he finished telling me this I asked for his license and he stated it was inside the residence. I told him to go give all his information to Deputy Jarriel who arrived on seen. He then started talking to his wife and I again told him to give his information to the Deputy. He asked me if this is how I was going to talk to him at his house and I said if you are not going to listen then yes. I told him a third time to give Deputy Jarriel his information before I made him go over there. Jarrian then got upset because I pointed at him to walk to Deputy Jarriel. Deputy Jarriel then got to Jarrian and I went to speak with [VICTIM #1].
As I approached [VICTIM #1], I heard Deputy Jarriel and Trooper Bowie trying to stop Jarrian from walking up behind me. I told Jarrian not to approach me from behind and Deputy Jarriel and Trooper Bowie was able to get him back to a vehicle in the driveway. At which time he started yelling at [VICTIM #1] saying you see how they doing me and she attempted to brush off the comment. He then started yelling “F*ck you, you’re dead a*s, you’re dead a*s and that you pulled a gun on me f*ck you.
I then turned around and attempted to place Jarrian under arrest for disorderly conduct because he was yell, screaming and using profane language out in public. I advised him he was under arrest and he told me not to touch him because this was his “mother fu*king house”. While Trooper Bowie, Deputy Jarriel and I attempted to handcuff Jarrian, he was able to turn and attempt to punch me in the face; however, he missed and struck the Trooper’s hat causing it to fall off. We all fell to the ground and I then conducted a drive stun with my X29 taser to his right thigh area. Jarrian grabbed the taser and I pulled it out of his hand. I then had Trooper Bowie moved and deployed my taser on Jarrian and he finally complied and was placed under arrest and Deputy Jarriel then escorted him to his patrol unit.
I then asked [VICTIM #1] what was going on and she stated she asked Jarrian a question and it escalated. Again while attempting to speak with [VICTIM #1], Jarrian continued to yell “I am not getting in the mother fu*king car, f*ck you and other profanity.” I then went and assisted Deputy Jarriel and Trooper Bowie to get Jarrian in the vehicle. After securing Jarrian in the back seat Deputy Jarriel Showed me where he had a small bleeding cut to his right wrist area. Once Jarrian was secured in the back seat I went back to speak with [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] said they were arguing and he started putting his hand in her face and she moved it from out of her face. She stated that Jarrian and she had an incident awhile back and she told him if you touch me I will shoot you. She then said she would not allow her to get out the room and she locked herself in the door and that is when they called the police. I then asked if she would go get her and Jarrian’s identification from inside the residence and she complied.
I then attempted to get Jarrian out of the vehicle to remove the taser prongs from him and he refused three separate attempts. SGT Shearouse then went to the driver’s back passenger door and removed Jarrian from the vehicle. Jarrian immediately started to attempt to pull away and fight with Deputies again. Deputy Zeigler and I had to physically to restrain Jarrian by pushing him against the vehicle to hold him still. I was able to remove the prongs from his right side and the prongs and cartridge were placed into evidence, property tracking form 18676. Deputy Jarriel then transported Jarrian to the Effingham County Jail, where he awaits further court actions. Jarrian was charged with disorderly conduct and three counts of felony obstruction of law enforcement.
