On the listed date I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Jamestown Rd for a physical domestic. Upon arrival I spoke with Lloyd Reddick and he stated that his wife Linda Reddick took the Amazon Alexa cord and swung it at him and hit him in the head.

I observed blood all over the left side of Lloyd’s face, clothes and the ground next to where he was standing outside in front of his residence. Both parties were separated and Lloyd stated that Linda was still inside the house.

Lloyd explained the following in summary. Lloyd asked Linda to pick up her pile of clothes that were in the hallway before he did it and put them up. Lloyd then went to pick them up when Linda got upset and began yelling about not touching her things. He stated that she began to escalate the argument by yelling at him about the clothes.

Lloyd stated that Linda had grabbed the Alexa Dot during the altercation and threatened to smash it and he told to to go ahead and do it. Lloyd stated that while she was holding it she began to swing the cord and in her doing so Linda struck the left side of his head with the plug side of the cord. He stated that he then noticed that he felt sometihing trickle down his neck and noticed that he was bleeding. Lloyd said that he then went outside to call 911.

Upon running Lloyd’s name he had an active misdemeanor warrant for a probation violation. (SU15CR258P) He was advised of his warrant and that he was being arrested for Simple Battery FVA. He was placed in the rear of Corporal Handshumaker’ s Patrol car and transported to the jail. I served him his warrant after he was turned over to jail staff without incident.

Upon speaking with Linda she stated that Lloyd had gotten upset about her clothes in the hallway when he began tell her to pick up her clothes or he would do it for her. Linda stated that Lloyd had trapped her in the bathroom and was shoving her further into the bathroom when she took the alexa dot and began to swing the cord to get him away from her so he would let her out of the bathroom.

Linda stated that she did hit him with the cord and when Lloyd noticed the blood he walked outside and called 911 before she could. She was advised that she was being arrested for Battery FVA and since she was cooperative she was handcuffed in the front and placed in the back of my patrol car and transported to the Jail.

Linda requested additional information while en route to the jail I advised her of remedies and services and placed additional information in her property. Linda was turned over to jail staff without incident.
