On July 29, 2025, at approximately 0039 hrs, I responded towards the incident location in reference to an unknown male loitering and prowling at the incident location. While en route, the female complainant/offender stated that she did not know who the male offender was but he had been banging on the residence’s windows and yelling to see her children. While en route, Effingham County 911 stated that the male offender left the area in a white VW vehicle. According to the CAD (Computer Assisted Dispatch), the vehicle was said to have been traveling on Chimney Rd towards Hwy 21.
Upon arriving at the intersection of Hwy 21 and Chimney Rd, I observed a white VW Passat (sedan) turning onto Hwy 21 S. Due to the information received, I conducted an investigatory stop on the vehicle. I began speaking to the driver/offender who said he was at the residence to see his girlfriend. According to the female complainant/offender, she told deputies she did not know who the male was.
After further investigation, the female complainant/offender lied to deputies about the entire incident. Therefore, there are pending charges. The male driver/offender was arrested for Driving on a Suspended License and transported to the Effingham County Jail.
