BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. – A juvenile Cartersville male is facing a strongarm rape charge for allegedly forcing sexual intercourse with an adult female while she was passed out from alcohol. At the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, the victim and her friend explained that Treshaun Amaru Reed committed the rape while one of his friends recorded it on his cell phone and another watched.
The victim said she invited a few friends over while her mother was out of town, and her friends invited other friends, and they drank alcohol. She eventually retired to her bedroom and “blacked out.”
All she remembered was waking after midnight with her pants down and a Black male behind her with his pants down as well. Her friend said she heard her screaming and crying, so she entered her bedroom to investigate.
She observed her friend balled up in the fetal position on her bed, with Reed standing beside the bed, pulling up his pants. She saw another male, Clifton Harshaw, standing in the closet, filming the rape on his cell phone.
She heard Harshaw say, “Hey, I got next.” She spotted another Black male standing behind the bedroom door.
She forced the males out of the room, demanded that they delete any photographs and videos of the assault, and made them leave the home.
The victim agreed to a sexual assault kit, and they relocated to her residence to gather her bedding and the clothing she wore during the rape. Then, the deputy, the victim, and her mother traveled to Piedmont Cartersville Hospital, where they met an investigator.
While at the hospital, Reed messaged the victim on Snapchat, and the deputy photographed the messages with his body-worn camera. He summarized the text as: “Why are you telling people I sexually assaulted you? I didn’t do anything wrong. I didn’t even nut in you. It wasn’t even two minutes. You climbed on top of me, and things went from there.”
This case is pending in court.

On Sunday, March 10th, 2024 at 1746 hours I was dispatched to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office at 104 Zena Drive, Cartersville, GA 30121 in reference to a report for a sexual assault that occurred at [30 BLOCK] Cass Station Drive, Cartersville, GA 30120.
Upon arrival I met with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and her friend [WITNESS #1]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated on Friday (3/9/2024) her mother went out of town, and she had some friends over without her knowledge. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated those friends invited other friends over, and they began drinking alcoholic beverages. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she went to lay down in her bedroom, and she “blacked out”. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated all she remembers was waking up with her pants down, and a black male behind her with his pants down. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated this part of the incident occurred early Saturday morning approximately between 0000 and 0300 hours.
[WITNESS #1] stated she heard [REDACTED BY AGENCY] crying and screaming, and she entered [REDACTED BY AGENCY] bedroom to see [REDACTED BY AGENCY] laying on her bed, balled up without pants on, and the black male that [WITNESS #1] identified as Treshaun Reed standing next to her bed pulling his pants up. [WITNESS #1] stated she observed another male, Clifton Harshaw in [REDACTED BY AGENCY] closet holding up his cellphone recording this incident, and heard him say “hey, I got next”. [WITNESS #1] stated she also observed another unknown black male standing behind [REDACTED BY AGENCY] bedroom door. [WITNESS #1] stated she forced these males out of the room, forced them to delete any pictures or videos from this incident, and then forced them to leave the house.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she wished to receive a sexual assault kit.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] and I relocated to her residence where we met with her mother, gathered the clothes she was wearing that night, and her bedding. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] her mother, and I relocated to Piedmont Cartersville Hospital where investigator Burge #707 met us, and this case, and it’s evidence were turned over to him.
Prior to me leaving the hospital Treshaun messaged [REDACTED BY AGENCY] on Snapchat. I captured photos of the messages from Treshaun on my body worn camera.
To summarize the messages from Treshaun, he stated : why are you telling people I sexually assaulted you? I didn’t do anything wrong. I didn’t even nut in you. It wasn’t even two minutes. You climbed on top of me, and things went from there.
