Man dies after being stabbed in neck inside Cartersville apartment, woman charged with murder

BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. – Cartersville Police officers arrested a 30-year-old woman and charged her with murder during the commission of a felony after they found a man inside an apartment who had been stabbed in the neck. The victim was transported to Cartersville Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police responded to the Collins Pointe Apartments on Collins Place at approximately 10:45 PM on Sunday, April 7, 2024. The Bartow County coroner identified the victim as 35-year-old Cartersville man Bryson Miller.

The investigation led to the identification of Tyla Nasha Coleman as a suspect, and authorities booked her into the Bartow County Jail at 6:00 AM on Monday, April 8. She is being detained without bond.

This investigation is active. Police have yet to release a motive for the crime or information regarding the relationship between the suspect and the victim.
