[NARRATIVE #1 on April 03, 2025]
On April 3, 2025 at approximately 1814 hours, I arrived at the scene of a hit and run at Westwood Cir, Rome, GA 30165. I was told by bystanders that the suspect was in the area.
Officers searched the area, but was unable to locate the suspect. I then went to where the vehicle accident happened at [400 BLOCK] Burnett Ferry Rd, Rome, GA 30165. While I was in route, dispatch advised me that witness’s said there were two individuals involved in the hit and run. The vehicle at fault was a red Chevrolet Cruze, with [REDACTED] Wisconsin license plate. The driver of the Cruze also attempted to hijack a UPS vehicle that stopped at the scene of the accident. The UPS truck driver, [VICTIM #1], advised he heard the accident occur, and that he he saw a female, later identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was laying in the ditch, so [VICTIM #1] stopped to make sure she was alright. When [VICTIM #1] stopped, a male entered the UPS truck, later identified as Aidyn Dyer. Dyer then attempted to hijack the vehicle from [VICTIM #1], telling him that if he didn’t give him a ride, he was going to just rob him and take the truck. [VICTIM #1] did not let that happen, and told Dyer that he couldn’t allow him to do that and that police were on the way. Dyer exited the UPS truck, got back in his vehicle, and left the scene. [VICTIM #1] advised me that he felt in fear of his life when the attempted hijacking occurred. [VICTIM #1] was not injured when this occurred.
After gathering information at the scene of the accident. I was able to watch Ring Doorbell camera footage that was at [300 BLOCK] Burnett Ferry Rd, and was able to confirm that there were two suspects, a male driver and female passenger, in the vehicle that were involved in the hit and run. The vehicle at fault was located on John Ross Dr, Rome, GA 30165. Officers already had the two suspects detained. Aidyn Dyer and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Dyer was the driver of the Cruze, while [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was in the passenger seat. Dyer gave two false names and dates of birth to officers while they were trying to identify him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] provided correct information to officers and advised that she had been riding with him for a few days.
After a records check was conducted, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was found to be a runaway juvenile from Green Bay, Wisconsin who had absconded from her foster home. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was being transported by Dyer, and claimed that she had only known him for a few days and that his name was Alex. After looking at the records check for [REDACTED BY AGENCY], there was a note stating her last known location, and that she left Wisconsin with Dyer. After officers finally got Dyer’s correct information to identify him, he admitted to stealing the red Chevrolet Cruze from his mother in Wisconsin. PFC Blankenship and PFC Davis will be adding supplemental narratives about their interactions with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Dyer. An Alabama drivers license for [REDACTED] was found in the vehicle and will be submitted into evidence for safe keeping. We were unable to make contact with [REDACTED]. Dyer’s cell phone will be submitted into evidence per CID.
Dyer was transported to the jail by PFC Blankenship and booked. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was transported to the station by myself as I attempted to contact DFCS. After several attempts, I got in touch with [REDACTED] from DFCS, who advised someone would be in route to take custody of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was transfered to the custody of a DFCS worker, [REDACTED], at 2320 hours.
Dyer was charged with motor vehicle hijacking, interference with custody, giving false name and date of birth to law enforcement x2, hit and run, duty upon striking fixed object, and failure to yield while turning left.

[NARRATIVE #2 on April 03, 2025]
On Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 at 6:07 p.m., E-911 dispatch gave a call over the radio in reference to a red vehicle knocking over mailboxes in the [400 BLOCK] block of Burnett Ferry Rd. Information was coming into E-911 placing the red car in the area of Echota Circle and Billy Pyle. A male and female were seen leaving the vehicle. A UPS driver called 911 stating the male tried to rob him, but the male suspect did not succeed and returned back to the area of the Cruze. The car was a red Chevy Cruze with a Wisconsin tag, [REDACTED].
I arrived in the area of Coosawattee and John Ross Dr. I turned onto John Ross Dr and came to the Echota Cir intersection. A Hispanic male stopped and told me the guy we are looking for just got into a Dodge truck with a trailer behind it. I turned onto Echota and saw the Dodge truck with a trailer driving away from [100 BLOCK] Echota Cir. I followed it to [100 BLOCK] Echota where the driver, [WITNESS #1], stopped and came to the rear of the trailer telling me the guy in the front seat asked for a ride because he was being bullied. He said he saw the male suspect, later identified as Aidyn Dyer, with marks on his body. Mr. [WITNESS #1] was working on [100 BLOCK] Echota Cir to get it ready to rent.
I went to the passenger side of the truck to speak to the male. I asked him what his name is. He said “Alex Alexander” with the birthday of [REDACTED]. I gave dispatch that information for them to verify his identity. That name and birthday did not match anything in GCIC. He then gave the name of Alexander Wolfe and birthday of [REDACTED]. That information did not come back. Officer Blankenship arrived to assist me during this time. I detained the male until we could identify him and figure out what was going on. While he was still seated in the Dodge truck, he pulled a lanyard from his right front pocket. It had a white lighter on it and keys. I thought he had a wallet in his pocket.
Blankenship drove him to where the red Cruze was left when he fled on foot. I followed to assist. We continued to try to determine who he was. Meanwhile, a Floyd County Officer located the female that was with him on Coosawattee. Officer Taylor took custody of her and drove her to our location. Officer Taylor said she was not talking to him at all. He gave me her book bag, and we seated her in my patrol vehicle. She gave me her name, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (juvenile), with a birthday of [REDACTED]. I gave her information to dispatch. She came back as a missing person out of Wisconsin. She told me that she has been with the suspect for a while, and that he is from Wisconsin, also.
Eventually, Dyer made a spontaneous exclamation that the Cruze was his car. I remembered the lanyard Dyer had in his pocket. I pulled it from the pocket and a Chevy Cruze key was on it.
Officers Turrentine and Rains arrived. Blankenship and I told them what we knew. We called for the on-call wrecker to remove the vehicle. Binkleys Wrecker Service responded. I completed a Tow-In slip and inventoried the vehicle. There were clothes, blankets, food, miscellaneous cards, and more. Dyer’s mother’s Wisconsin drivers license and other identifying paperwork was in the car.
Officer Blankenship transported Aidyn Dyer to the Floyd County Jail where he was booked on the charges listed. Turrentine and Rains transported [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to the Rome Police Department.

[NARRATIVE #3 on April 03, 2025]
On April 3, 2025 at approximately 1812 hours, I (PFC Blankenship) responded to the area of Echota Cir and John Ross Dr in reference to fleeing suspects from a hit and run and possible attempted robbery. Upon arrival to the area, I observed an FCPD Officer out with the suspect vehicle with front end damage in front of [100 BLOCK] John Ross Dr.
I then proceeded over to [100 BLOCK] Echota Cir to back up Officer Davis who advised he was out with a male suspect. When I arrived, I spoke with the male who was becoming visibly upset and aggressive in his responses to OFC Davis. I observed that the male had blood on his arm and clothes from scratches and vegetation in his hair. When I asked him about his appearance. he admitted to running through yards and jumping over fences. At that time, the male identified himself to me as Alex Wolf. We were not able to get returns on the male under that name. The male matched the description given to the call taker wearing a “cookie” shirt and had clearly been running through brush in the area.
As we spoke with the male, he appeared to be making furtive glances for avenues for escape and became argumentative when he was asked to get out of the vehicle. He was removed and placed into handcuffs and put into the back of my patrol vehicle. The registered owner of the truck did not know him and had found him in the current state that the was in.
I transported the male, later identified as Aidyn Dyer, back to the red chevy cruze with Wisconsin plates that had been abandoned in the roadway in front of [100 BLOCK] John Ross. While there, Aidyn was read a miranda warning and a public tow inventory of the vehicle was made. The vehicle yielded a picture of the male suspect with the name Aidyn Dyer. When I asked the male if he was Aidyn, he looked away from me, pursed his lips, and appeared to deflate. He then advised me that we knew he was Aidyn and did further make a spontaneous utterance about the vehicle being “my car”. He then advised that the vehicle was registered to his grandmother from Wisconsin and that his mother was the daily user of the vehicle. He advised that he had taken the car and left in it from Wisconsin. He advised that he was homeless and that he and another had been living out of the car and giving people rides.
While on scene, I spoke with witnesses one of them advised that he had seen a male and a female each dressed in black running from the wrecked chevy cruze.
Aidyn was placed under arrest and I transported him to the Floyd County Jail where he was booked in on charges listed in the offense section of this report. The keys to the vehicle were found on Aidyn’s person, his picture and name along with his mother’s old Wisconsin ID were found within the vehicle. Aidyn made another spontaneous utterance while en route to the jail telling me approximately three times that he had “made a mistake” and that he “stole my mom’s car” and advised that it was because he was fleeing from retail theft charges in Wisconsin. He advised he had been ordered to pay a large fine for the charges and he “didn’t know what to do”.
While at the jail, INV Ridling came to interview Aidyn. While in the middle of advising Aidyn of his rights, Aidyn told us that he wanted a lawyer. The interview was ended and Aidyn was returned to his holding cell.
