On Sunday I, Ofc Chaves was dispatched to [20 BLOCK] Chateau Apt [REDACTED] in reference to a fight call involving Ashley Henderson, [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2]. Dispatch advised [VICTIM #1] was the complainant and stated, Ashley Henderson, is his ex girlfriend and that she broke into his vehicle and got his room key inside of his vehicle and broke into his apartment while he was inside with his girlfriend, [VICTIM #2] and once inside she assaulted them both before being able leave the scene in a white Jeep.

Upon arrival, I observed [VICTIM #1] outside, shirtless and holding his phone while pacing. As I got closer to [VICTIM #1] I observed long scratches all over his chest area and bank with blood pooling over. I asked [VICTIM #1] if he needed EMS and heard a female voice on his phone. I could hear that the female was yelling and cursing. I then said “hey Ashley this officer Chaves” and Ashley ended the call.

[VICTIM #1] then directed me to his vehicle and stated he left his vehicle unlocked with his car keys inside and that Ashley entered his vehicle, cranked the vehicle on, took his room key that was also inside of his vehicle, took his girlfriend’s dead dog ashes that were in a makeshift urn and the car keys.

[VICTIM #1] stated Ashley then used that room key to enter his apartment [REDACTED] where him and his girlfriend were. [VICTIM #1] stated when Ashley entered the apartment she lunged toward [VICTIM #2] first and began beating her up and scratching her. [VICTIM #1] stated he then tried pulling Ashley off and thats when she began scratching him to the point of making him and Ashley bleed.

I then went and spoke with [VICTIM #2] and I observed her to be bloodied all over her chest. [VICTIM #2] stated Ashley broke into the apartment out of no where and jumped on her and stated that she was saying she was going to rip her nipple piercings out. [VICTIM #2] stated that Ashley has texted [VICTIM #1] in the past talking about wanting to beat her up. [VICTIM #2] stated she steers clear from their relationship due to them sharing a child. [VICTIM #2] stated she has never spoke to Ashley before because she did not want to engage in any arguments with her.

While on scene [VICTIM #1] was unable to find his car keys and believes that Ashley may have either taken them or threw them somewhere on the property but I was unable to locate them. [VICTIM #2] began crying due to her dogs ashes being stolen from her from inside of the vehicle.

Sgt Rast and PFC Drew were checking around Maple Avenue for Ashley’s vehicle. PFC Roden was able to obtain the temporary tag #[REDACTED] and through that PFC Drew was able to locate the vehicle Maple Ave near 10th. PFC Drew located Ashley Henderson and was able to place her in handcuffs. I then headed toward PFC Drew’s location after I took pictures using AXON Capture for the injuries on both victims.

Once arriving, I met with Ms. Henderson who was in the back seat of the patrol vehicle and read her Miranda. I then asked Ashley to tell me her side of things to better understand how we got here. Ashley was reluctant with speaking and ultimately only stated that she went to SKYTOP with her son because [VICTIM #1] was supposed to give her money for school things. Ashley’s story did not make sense and was all over the place however at first she stated “they scratched me” and that I could not see her scratches because she was black.

I advised Ashley it does not matter that she was black if she was bleeding or had a scratch I would be able to see it. Ashley then stated they hit me not scratched me that’s why I cant see it. Ashley then went on to say she is aware of the protection order and that she had her son go to the apartment since she has to stay “something” feet away from [VICTIM #1].

Ashley stated that there was an argument and that was it. Ashley then stated all her son has is her and asked to call her mom. At this point since it was very obvious that Ashley was being deceitful I advised her she would not be making any phone calls. I then transferred my handcuffs onto Ashley and returned PFC Drew’s handcuffs and placed Ashley in the backseat of my vehicle.

I then spoke to Ashley’s son and he stated he was in his mom’s car the whole time and that nothing happened or that he did not see or hear anything happen.

Based on the physical and testimonial evidence Ashley was arrested and charged for the following:

• Aggravated stalking for violating a court order of no direct or indirect contact by actively calling the victim and going to his residence.
• Battery (FVA) for intentionally causing visible bodily harm to [VICTIM #1] with whom she shares a child.
• Battery (MISD) for intentionally causing visible bodily harm to [VICTIM #2]
• Burglary first degree for intentionally entering the residence without authority while already committing a felony (agg stalking)
• Entering automobile by intentionally and without permission entering the victim’s vehicle and committing a theft.
• Theft by taking by intentionally depriving [VICTIM #2] of her property and taking it without permission along with [VICTIM #1]’s car keys.

Ashley was subsequently transported to Floyd county jail where she was booked without further incident on the above charges.
