On the above date and time I, Ofc Talley, was dispatched to [2600 BLOCK] Lake Ridge Cir in reference to a male who was having a mental breakdown. Before I arrived on scene dispatched advised me that the male, Bryan Holland, had left in a 2004 navy blue Chevrolet Suburban with a busted windshield. I was advised that Bryan would possibly be at the big lake in Garden Lakes. I advised dispatch that I would be in the area checking for him. I drove around to multiple places, but was unable to locate him.

The complainant, his wife [VICTIM #1], called back in and stated Bryan could possibly going to the liquor store located on 20W. Once I arrived there I did not see the vehicle, but I was advised that Bryan called his wife and she stated he could be around the area of Woods Rd and Huffaker Rd. Since I was still unable to locate Bryan I called [VICTIM #1] to see if she had any updates on his location or any additional information that could help us locate him. [VICTIM #1] told me Bryan doesn’t have any family near by and usually doesn’t go far so he should be around the area.

I advised [VICTIM #1] that we checked the locations that she gave us and a few other places and we were still unable to locate him. [VICTIM #1] stated that we needed to find him because she was worried that he might hurt himself due to his mental state and that fact that he has been drinking. [VICTIM #1] stated when he FaceTimed her she was parked on the side of the road in a wooded area with the hood of the car up. [VICTIM #1] stated that Bryan will fight with police if we locate him and that she didn’t want him to get hurt. I advised [VICTIM #1] that I would continue to check the area. [VICTIM #1] advised that her father was at the residence and was scared due to how Bryan was acting.

Since I was unable to locate Bryan I went back to the residence to speak with Bryan’s father in law that was at the residence. [VICTIM #2] was sitting outside under the carport when I arrived. I asked [VICTIM #2] to explain to me what had occurred and he continued to tell me multiple times that he was terrified. [VICTIM #2] stated that he locked him self in his bedroom due to Bryan having a mental episode. [VICTIM #2] stated Bryan was banging on the door and was able to get into the room. [VICTIM #2] stated he walked outside and Bryan was following him around stating what is your issue. [VICTIM #2] stated Bryan got into the suburban and left.

[VICTIM #2] continued to say that he was terrified during the incident and that he was scared of Bryan due to his size and that he, [VICTIM #2], was was 79 years old. [VICTIM #2] was able to take us us into the house to show us the damage that was caused. I observed a hole in [VICTIM #2]s bedroom wall where Bryan had punched it earlier. There was also a broken wooden post near the front door of the residence and [VICTIM #2] stated he must have broken earlier because it wasn’t broken before. [VICTIM #2] stated we needed to find Bryan because he will come back to the residence and he is scared of what will happen if he does come back. I asked [VICTIM #2] if there was anyone nearby that could come get him and he stated he could call his son. [VICTIM #2] advised he made contact with his son and he was on his way to pick him up to take him to his house.

I left [2600 BLOCK] Lake Ridge Cir and checked around the area again, but was still unable to locate Bryan. Based on the physical and testimonial evidence from [VICTIM #2] I decided to take a warrant for Bryan for Simple Assault FVA ([VICTIM #2] and Bryan live in the same house) and Intimidate of an elder person. While I was in the process of filling out the warrant dispatch advised that Bryan had returned to the residence.

Myself and Ofc World went out to the residence where Bryan was sitting under the carport. I asked Bryan what had been going on and he stated he had been at the residence the whole time. I advised him that was not true and we were looking for him earlier. Bryan was slurring his words and continued mumbling things. Bryan stated he had only drank one beer. I asked Bryan if we would explain to me what happened earlier and why he got upset. Bryan would not give any information has to what occurred and just kept saying he had been at the residence.

Due to Bryan not wanting to give any additional information has to what occurred Bryan was placed in handcuffs. Once Bryan was advised to walk to my car and that he was under arrest he tried pulling away from us. We escorted Bryan to my patrol car and placed him in the back seat. Bryan was transported to the Floyd County jail where he was booked in and medically cleared.
