On July 28, 2026, I, PFC Roden, was dispatched to the area of Broad Street in reference to a nude male who had climbed into a tree. While en route, dispatch continued to provide updates regarding the male’s location. Dispatch advised that the male was at 413 E. 1st Street and was entering vehicles that did not belong to him.

Sgt. Rast located the male at that address and detained him by placing him in handcuffs. The male was identified as Bryce Gibson. Mr. Gibson was nude from the waist down, wearing only a shirt, with his genitals fully exposed.

Mr. Gibson was advised of his Miranda rights. However, his responses to our questions were incoherent and did not make sense. When asked why he was entering other people’s vehicles, he stated that he was trying to find a phone. Mr. Gibson was unable to state where he had come from or identify his current location. Based on his behavior, demeanor, and inability to answer basic questions coherently, he appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

I then made contact with [VICTIM #1]. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated that she observed Mr. Gibson open the door of her vehicle and rummage through the center console. I observed Mrs. [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle, a blue 2016 Nissan Leaf bearing Georgia license plate [REDACTED], and found the center console open and appearing to have been rummaged through.

Mr. Gibson was transported to the Floyd County Jail without further incident.
