On Monday 6/30/2026 I, Ofc Chaves was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a domestic. Dispatch advised the complainant was the maintenance manager, Mr. [WITNESS #1] calling in stating there was a couple fighting.
Upon arrival I met with the complainant who advised that he has been receiving multiple complaints from the [REDACTED BY AGENCY] building in reference to [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Mr. [WITNESS #1] advised an [VICTIM #1] rents the apartment and that there is a male who is always there that is not on the lease. Mr. [WITNESS #1] requested I check Apt [REDACTED] in reference to them arguing.
While walking back to my vehicle I was stopped by Ms. [VICTIM #1] who asked where I was headed too and I advised her apartment [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she was [VICTIM #1] and that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] is hers. I then approached her vehicle and observed she was alone inside of it. I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] if there was there any fighting there earlier today in which she replied no not really.
I then asked her if she stays at the apartment alone and she stated she stays with her kids and pointed at a male who was about 100 feet away from us and stated he stays with her sometimes but does not live with her. The male Ms. [VICTIM #1] indicated was a black male, in a blue shirt and black shorts. When Ms. [VICTIM #1] pointed toward the male in her rear view mirror I asked her “blue shirt?” and she stated yes.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated her and Denarero Thrash were bickering but it was only verbal. Ms. [VICTIM #1] also provided me with Mr. Thrash’s name and date of birth further confirming she was indicating they were both in direct contact of one another.
I then waved over Mr. Thrash and advised him to come toward me. Mr. Thrash kept yelling “for what” and asking what Ms. [VICTIM #1] was stating indicating to me he was able to hear me clearly calling for him. Mr. Thrash then yelled out “I don’t have a warrant” when I never stated he did or did not. I then began to walk toward Mr. Thrash and he continued to yell and ask if he was going to jail.
As I began closing some distance Mr. Thrash turned around after I told him to come to me again. Mr. Thrash then started running away from me and at this time PFC Bridges was already in the area and was able to track Mr. Thrash in his vehicle while I attempted to pursue Mr. Thrash on foot. Mr. Thrash disobeyed multiple verbal commands given by me and disregarded PFC Bridges emergency equipment.
PFC Bridges was able to place Mr. Thrash in handcuffs, checked for fit and double locked them. I then returned to my vehicle and went toward PFC Bridges who was located around the [REDACTED BY AGENCY] building. I then advised Mr. Thrash he was under arrest for obstruction and he stated he ran because he knew he had a warrant out of South Carolina.
Mr. Thrash was searched incident to arrest and dispatch advised there was a an active conditional bond between him and Ms. [VICTIM #1]. Dispatch advised the conditional bond stated Mr. Thrash was restricted from making direct or indirect contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1].
Mr. Thrash was then placed in the backseat of my patrol vehicle and transported to the Floyd county jail. Mr. Thrash was charged accordingly.
Backseat cleared before and after.
