[NARRATIVE #1 on July 01, 2026]
On above date and time I Pfc McCormick was traveling West on Wax Road approaching Old Rockmart Rd. I received a phone call from Pfc Boatfield asking if I had just passed her on Wax Rd and then informed me that the Silver car in front of me had just side swiped her vehicle and then kept going. Upon Turning right on to Old Rockmart Rd I observed a small silver passenger car heading in bound at a hight rate of speed. I activated my lights and siren and began to catch up to the vehicle.
Upon the vehicle stopping at the intersection of Ridge View dr and Old Rocmart I made contact with a female driver. I requested her drivers license and proof of insurance. She informed me that she did not have her license on her. I inquired as to why she did not have them on her and she stated that they had been suspended and that she paid a few days ago to get them back. At this point I informed her that the vehicle she had struck was a off duty officers personal vehicle while pointing out her damaged drivers side mirror that was now busted inward. I ran her information name and date of birth through dispatch to verify she had a valid license.
Dispatch informed me that she was suspended and had been suspended since March. I made contact with Officer Boatfield and provided her my current location for her to come to for me to get her vehicle information for the report. Upon the arrival of Sgt J Overstreet Ms McCord was removed from her vehicle and placed into custody. She was then transported to Floyd County Sheriffs Office for booking.

[NARRATIVE #2 on July 01, 2026]
On July 1, 2026, at approximately 8:27am, I, Pfc Boatfield, was off-duty traveling in my personal vehicle on Wax Rd SE toward Hwy 101. I had just pulled out of a parking lot, so I had not reached the speed limit yet. I saw a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse cross the center line toward my vehicle. I slowed down, and the Mitsubishi then hit my driver door.
I saw Pfc McCormick traveling on Wax Rd SE toward Old Rockmart Rd SE, the same direction the Mitsubshi had gone, so I apprised him of the situation. I pulled over in the parking lot of the EZ Stop at 101/Wax to assess any damage. I found that I had a gray/black scratch on my driver door.
Pfc McCormick located the vehicle and preformed a traffic stop on it. The driver was identified as Heather McCord. I arrived to the stop and asked her if she did not see me. She stated that she thought she hit something in the road so she just kept going. I advised her that it was my car that she hit.
It was found that Heather was driving on a suspended license, so Pfc McCormick placed her under arrest. Please see his narrative for further details.
