On Sunday, May 24, 2026 I was dispatched to 1318 Martha Berry Blvd in reference to a fight call.

Upon my arrival I spoke with Ms [WITNESS #1]. She advised that a guest in room [REDACTED] was being very loud and disrespectful and disrupting the peace of the other guests. She advised that she wanted them to leave and banned from the property. The disruptive guest was identified as Ms [VICTIM #1]. She was very upset upon officers arrival. She advised that she did not want to leave and she had not been disruptive. She stated that she had been with her significant other all day and had even been dancing in the rain with her.

She showed me a video on her phone of her a black female in the rain together at the motel earlier that day. She advised that the female she was with was Ms Jada Prothro and they were both staying in room [REDACTED]. Ms [VICTIM #1] advised that she had paid for the room but it was in Ms Prothro’s name. At that time I advised Ms [VICTIM #1] that she was banned from the property and she needed to collect her belongings.

Ms [VICTIM #1] became very upset and then informed me that Ms Prothro had violated her conditional bond. She also stated that she had only been loud because she and Ms Prothro had been in a physical altercation. I asked Ms [VICTIM #1] to explain what happened and she stated that she had been sitting in a chair in front of their room. Ms Prothro had grabbed her by the shirt and pulled her into the room. Once inside she had grabbed Ms [VICTIM #1] by the neck with both hands. I observed redness and scratch marks on Ms [VICTIM #1]’s throat and the side of her neck. I photographed her injuries and uploaded them to evidence.com.

Officer Bell went to view surveillance footage at that time. I asked Ms [VICTIM #1] of she had ever lived with Ms Prothro and she stated yes. Dispatch then informed me that there was a conditional bond between the two females. The conditional bond stated Ms Prothro was to “Have no contact absolutely, directly or indirectly, by person and telephone, from the person, home, and job of [REDACTED], [VICTIM #1], & [1800 BLOCK] Martha Berry Highway subject to the following exceptions none.”

The bond was ordered by the courts on May 18, 2026 and signed by Ms Prothro on May 21, 2026. Officer Bell advised that the surveillance footage did not show the altercation between the two females, but did show both females entering and exiting the room all day.

At that time I advised Ms [VICTIM #1] that she was still banned from the property and to gather her belongings. I told her that a police report would be completed on the incident. I provided her with a link to evidence.com to upload the photos and videos she had taken of herself and Ms Prothro that day as well. I then advised Ms Prothro that she was under arrest. I searched her for contraband and none was found. I then transported her to the Floyd County Jail.

Upon our arrival to the jail I asked Ms Prothro to step out of the vehicle multiple times. She refused and told me to make her get out. I told Ms Prothro that I would ask her once more to exit the vehicle or I would have to make her exit. She refused to follow my lawful order at that time again. I then grabbed her left arm with my right hand and pulled her from the rear seat of vehicle 156. Ms Prothro refused to stand up and went dead weight on the ground.

Myself and a jail officer then each grabbed Ms Prothro by her upper arms and lifted her to her feet. Ms Prothro was very upset and kept yelling at officers. She took a few steps and then again went dead weight. The jail officers pulled her a few steps forward and gave her verbal commands to walk. At that time she took a bladed stance toward a jail officer and told them to stop touching her. All the officers released her at that time. I then walked up and took hold of her left arm with my right hand and gave her another verbal command to walk. She took a few step forward and then began to pull away from me. I did not release her arm at that time and she spun around and lost her balance.

Ms Prothro then fell onto the floor of the sally port on her bottom. She continued to refused commands from officers to stand up and walk inside. I attempted to help her to her feet by lifting under her left arm again to help her stand, she refused. She stated that she was going to stand up and go inside. Myself and other officers advised her to do so but she refused to stand up again. Eventually she stated that she would listen to the commands from a jail officer and stood up and walked into the jail.

Once inside she was cleared by medical staff and booked for aggravated stalking FVA, aggravated assault FVA, and obstruction of LEO.
