On May 21, 2026 (Thursday) I, PFC Young, was dispatched to [SINGLE DIGIT BLOCK] Myrtle St, Rome, GA 30161 in reference to a female with a knife.

While en route, dispatch advised the call was coming in to 911 via text message. A [VICTIM #1] was reporting that a Kerry Maxwell was at his residence above and had a knife acting crazy. Dispatch checked with the Floyd County Jail and advised that there was an active TPO in effect protecting [VICTIM #1] from Kerry. She was to stay away from him over 300 yards.

Upon arrival, PFC Kent and I walked up the driveway and made contact with [VICTIM #1]. Kerry was yelling at him and us from a shed at the top of the driveway. PFC Kent drew his service weapon due to Kerry’s behavior and reportedly having a knife. I drew my Taser 7 and hid it behind my leg and a cart so she could not see it. We attempted to speak with Kerry but she was extremely amped up.

We told her to come outside and she said she had to put on underwear. She told us to come inside and we refused due to the knife. She stated she had a knife but she wasn’t going near it. Eventually, Kerry did exit the shed half clothed. Kerry kept talking all over the place and saying that nothing was going on and that [VICTIM #1] invited her over. She claimed to have messages in her phone proving such. I told her to show it to me. Kerry pulled out her phone and kept rifling through it but also kept yelling and talking to PFC Kent and [VICTIM #1]. She never actually showed me the messages despite being told to again.

I told Kerry that [VICTIM #1] had a TPO against her. She said she knew but [VICTIM #1] allegedly told her he dropped it. I asked her if she contacted the Sheriff’s Office about such and she said no. She continued to argue that [VICTIM #1] invited her over, without proof, and that she shouldn’t be in trouble. I advised her she understood she had been served a TPO and should know not to be around [VICTIM #1] with it active regardless of what he says. I advised Kerry she was under arrest and placed her in handcuffs. I double locked them and checked them for fit.

Kerry then began complaining about needing to take her belongings with her. We removed her bags from the shed to bring with us. Kerry then kept arguing and yelling about how she needed to go to the hospital. I asked her why and she said she couldn’t tell me. She kept being verbally combative and messing with her phone so I took it from her.

Kerry was then escorted down the driveway to my patrol vehicle. At my vehicle, she saw someone she knew across the street and yelled for them to come get her bags. Her property was released to them per her insistence. Kerry was then secured in the back seat of my patrol vehicle.

I transported Kerry to the Floyd County Jail. En route, she continued talking and yelling without a break. Kerry was all over the place and kept saying and ordering that I take her to the hospital. I asked her why again and she said an assault. I asked her what kind and for more details and she simply said she wouldn’t say, didn’t want a criminal case, and wanted the hospital to decide. Once at the jail, Kerry exited my vehicle but refused to walk to the booking door. I grabbed her arm and escorted her into the booking lobby. Kerry was then booked and handed over to jail staff.

Back seat cleared before and after transport.
