On Thursday 6/11/2026 I, Ofc Chaves was dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic issue.

Upon arrival I met with Michelle Turner and her 2 year old daughter who were outside by a vehicle. I spoke with Michelle who at first was reluctant to speak. Michelle later stated her and [VICTIM #1] are boyfriend and girlfriend who are on and off. Michelle stated she has been staying with [VICTIM #1] since last Friday and that today she was planning on going back to her residence in Cedartown where she lives with her mom. Michelle stated she had a job interview today and had asked [VICTIM #1] to babysit her daughter. Michelle stated [VICTIM #1] told her no and that it was not his responsibility.

Michelle stated she was acting crazy and that this relationship in the past has also had tumultuous history however she has never called 911 in the past. Michelle stated she knew she was yelling and that the argument was aggressive however she stated it was not just her that was aggressive. Michelle stated that [VICTIM #1] pushed her at one point and that her daughter saw and heard the fight the whole time. Michelle stated all she wanted was for [VICTIM #1] to watch her daughter so she could attend her interview and that after she would go home.

I then spoke to [VICTIM #1] who stated him and Michelle have dated on and off for almost 2 years and they had separated for a while because Michelle was making up lies about him and talking to her ex. [VICTIM #1] stated today Michelle was being overly aggressive and that if he did not call it would continue to escalate.

[VICTIM #1] then showed me a video of Michelle today and in the video I observed and heard Michelle yelling and cussing at [VICTIM #1] telling him she would follow him to his mom’s house with her daughter. In the video I could hear the daughter crying hysterically and she sounded frightened. In the video I also observed [VICTIM #1]s phone get hit out of his hand while it was still video recording. The video was captured on my body camera and an axon community request was also sent to [VICTIM #1] and he was advised to upload the video there as well.

[VICTIM #1] did not wish to press charges on Michelle as he only wanted her to leave his residence since she was acting “crazy.” While on scene I had Michelle contact her sister to come pick up her daughter. I advised Michelle out of courtesy for her daughter I was going to wait to handcuff her so that her daughter would not go through any more hardships today.

Once Michelle’s sister ([REDACTED]) was a few minutes away I told Michelle to walk to the passenger side of my vehicle where she was handcuffed, checked for fit and double locked. Michelle was then searched incident to arrest and placed in the backseat of my patrol vehicle.

Michelle had no regard for her daughter witnessing her and [VICTIM #1] fight. Michelle was aggressive as seen in the video and escalating the argument when [VICTIM #1] was stating in the video he wanted to go to his mothers. Michelle also hit [VICTIM #1]’s phone out of his hand while he was recording (no damage to his phone). In the video Michelle is seen and heard knocking down doors however the doors were out of their hinges and were already detached from the hinges so there was no further damage to them.

Michelle expressed that she was remorseful for having her daughter witness the fight and stated she wished she just went back to Cedartown. Michelle stated she is aware she acts out on anger/emotion but stated [VICTIM #1] is not all innocent, but that the events that occurred today were because of her. Michelle stated [VICTIM #1] pushed her into a wall and kicked her before as well and her daughter witnessed that as well.

There was not enough probable cause to arrest [VICTIM #1] based on both testimonies/physical evidence.

Both parties were advised of TPO procedures.

PFC Bethune was still on scene and made sure the daughter left with Michelle’s sister safely.

Michelle was transported to the Floyd county jail and booked without incident.
