On September 13th 2026 at approximately 0534 I was dispatched to a fight at [REDACTED] between two sisters. Dispatch advised that the two were separated, but the caller did stated multiple times that she would kill her sister. Dispatch also advised that the caller did have a warrant from Floyd County.

Upon arriving I made contact with Mitaija Ferrell, who was walking outside on the road. While speaking with her, she stated her sister Mikeria Ferrell, had hit her, but I did not see any evidence of that happening. Mitaija stated the fight had started due to Mikeria accusing Mitaija of having her boyfriends phone. and when Mitaija stated she did not have his phone she began to get upset and hit her. Mitaija stated when Mikeria hit her she did hit her back.

I then spoke to Mikeria inside the house and she stated that Mitaija had been upset all day. Mikeria stated this fight started when Mitaija did not want to get out of Mikeria’s vehicle, but eventually did. When Mitaija kept getting upset Mikeria attempted to get Mitaija to get into her car so she can take her back home due to her not wanting her to be upset around her kids. Mikeria stated when this happened Mitaija started to hit her in the head causing visible bumps on her forehead and a few spots of blood on the floor in the kitchen where the fight had happened. Mikeria stated that all 4 kids that was in the house did witness Mitaija attacking her.

Mikeria was also informed that she did have a warrant through Floyd County and that someone would be coming to pick her up later that day, due to her currently not having child care. It was later confirmed that the warrant that dispatched notified me of was not valid and was not for Mikeria but it was for her sister who was in Louisiana.

At this point Mitaija was identified as the primary aggressor. She was placed in handcuffs and searched and placed into the back of the my patrol vehicle after being searched. I did have to stop while en route to the Floyd County Sheriffs Office to adjust Mitaija’s handcuffs and they were locked after being adjusted. Mitaija was transported without incident.

A warrant will be obtained for Mikeria’s arrest on 9/14/2026.

handcuffs checked for fit and locked
backseat checked before and after transport.
