On August 2nd, 2026 at approximately 01:52AM, I, OFC T.Zenga#57, was dispatched to 325 Broad St for an alleged fight.
Upon my arrival, I was advised that a fire alarm was also going off at this location. Upon speaking to security, they advised that the large group standing outside was the cause of the alarm and that they needed to leave. I then accessed my intercom inside of my marked patrol vehicle and advised everyone on scene that they needed to leave or people will start going to jail. There were multiple people obstructing the sidewalk and becoming a nuisance to the public.
One individual, later identified as Oscar Martinez began screaming and stating, “fu*k you b*tch.””fu*k you”. Everyone else around him dispersed and pointed to him being the one being loud and boisterous. Myself and another officer placed Oscar under arrest, where he was handcuffed. The handcuffs were double-locked and checked for fit. Upon escorting Oscar to my vehicle, he struggled to stay on his feet and walk and had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his person. He was placed in the backseat of my marked patrol vehicle and I escorted him to Floyd County Jail where he was booked. When we arrived at the jail and I was letting Oscar out of my vehicle, he fell and was unable to stand.
