On above date and time I PFC Bray was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Margo Trail in reference to a domestic altercation call.
Upon arrival I spoke with Richard Hunt who stated him and his wife [VICTIM #1] had got into a scuffle. Mr. Hunt stated Mrs. [VICTIM #1] kept screaming at him and he tried to get her to stop but she would not stop. Mr. Hunt stated he had slapped Mrs. [VICTIM #1] with an open hand but it was not hard. I went and spoke with Mrs. [VICTIM #1] who stated Mr. Hunt has an awful cough and she was trying to get him up to go take something. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated Mr. Hunt had got so mad at her and attacked her. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated Mr. Hunt just keep refusing to go take something for his cough and it is aggravating and she was yelling at him.
Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated it is something that we have done forever and he has never attack me before. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated he is bigger and stronger than me and he was holding her down and slapped her in the face. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] also stated Mr. Hunt was nearly choking her and had his hands around her neck trying to choke her. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated she had grabbed Mr. Hunt by the ear to try to make him stop by pushing her fingernail into his ear. I observed Mrs. [VICTIM #1] to have redness on her neck and on her left hand.
I went back to speak with Mr. Hunt and asked him did he choke Mrs. [VICTIM #1] and he stated he did just a little but he did not try to hurt her. Mr. Hunt was advised he would be going with me and was placed in handcuffs and escorted to my patrol Unit 64 and placed in the backseat. Mr. Hunt was transported to Floyd County Jail where he was checked and cleared by Jail Nurse.
