On August 19, 2026, I, PFC Roden, was dispatched to [800 BLOCK] N. 5th Avenue in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, I made contact with the victim, Ms. [VICTIM #1], and the property manager, [REDACTED]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Ms. [REDACTED] were in the office reviewing video footage of the incident.
At approximately 0047 hours earlier that morning, Ms. [VICTIM #1] and a male identified as Ricky King could be seen on video at Apartment [REDACTED], which is rented by Mr. King. The footage showed Mr. King pushing Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s walker, which contained the oxygen she requires to walk and breathe. Mr. King pushed the walker away from Ms. [VICTIM #1] and into the apartment walkway. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that Mr. King was attempting to push her out of the apartment. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then re-entered the apartment to retrieve her belongings.
The video footage then showed Ms. [VICTIM #1] being violently thrown into the door and falling to the ground. Mr. King then stepped over Ms. [VICTIM #1] and exited the apartment. Mr. King paced back and forth outside the apartment for approximately 10 minutes while Ms. [VICTIM #1] remained on the floor. Ms. [VICTIM #1] obtained visible bruising to both of her arms.
After reviewing the video footage, I responded to Apartment [REDACTED] and placed Mr. King under arrest. Mr. King stated that he never touched Ms. [VICTIM #1]. I then transported Mr. King to the Floyd County Jail.
