[NARRATIVE #1 on June 06, 2026]

On 6/6/2026 (Saturday) I, Officer Hendry #51, responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to assist other Officers with a loud party.

Upon arrival I was advised of a group of people walking in the road by Sgt. Metroka. I then exited my vehicle and gave verbal commands for the group to stop. Several of the group members stopped but two others, one being Tyrell Wedgeworth, had to be told multiple times to stop before they complied.

Upon making contact with the group I told them that I needed to identify them. Tyrell Wedgeworth was immediately argumentative and loudly attempted to argue with me. Tyrell eventually told me his name and while I was identifying the other members he began to walk away from me. I ordered Tyrell to stop and he continued to loudly argue. I told Tyrell that he was going to stand by until his name was ran or he was going sit on the curb in handcuffs. Tyrell continued to yell and walk around despite being told multiple times by members of his group to comply and to calm down.

While speaking to Tyrell I could hear that he had slurred speech as well as not being able to walk in a steady manner. Once Tyrell had been ran by dispatch I told him he was free to go. Tyrell continued to loudly yell and cause a disturbance in a public place while being close to several residences.

Sgt. Metroka then told Tyrell he was under arrest and I took him into custody. Tyrell was placed in handcuffs and while being escorted back to my patrol he began to resist. I had to give Tyrell several orders to keep walking before he was searched incident to arrest and was placed in the back of my marked patrol car. Tyrell continued to be loud and boisterous until he was brought to the Floyd County Jail. Tyrell was booked on City Citations for Disorderly conduct and Public Drunkenness.

[NARRATIVE #2 on June 06, 2026]

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at approximately 0155 hours, Sergeant Metroka and I, Officer Ansari, made contact with several individuals about whom we received a complaint for being on the roadway at [REDACTED BY AGENCY].

The complainant had advised that, while driving through the area, someone hit his car but did not know who. Upon my arrival, I noticed several individuals blocking the roadway while playing loud music and dancing. As soon as I turned my blue lights on, they turned the music off and started scattering away from the road.

I tried to talk to a few people from the group who were later identified as [REDACTED] and Tyrell Wedgeworth, but they kept walking away from me. They were also previously advised by PFC Taylor to keep the music low after we received a loud music complaint.

I told them they needed to stop the party and that everybody needed to go home. They refused to listen to my commands and instead argued, as they were drunk and not in the right sense to talk civilly. A few people from the group listened to us and walked away or started heading home, but [REDACTED] and Tyrell Wedgeworth kept arguing back and forth. I warned them that, as they were drinking and under the influence, if they were found on the road, they would be taken to Jail. I asked them to identify themselves, but they all kept walking away from me and scattered without listening to my commands.

Tyrell was stopped by Officers Hendry and Bell in the area of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] at [REDACTED BY AGENCY], walking along the roadside, and they attempted to identify him. While I was out with [REDACTED] on [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and while talking to him, I could see that he had glassy and bloodshot eyes, along with the smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. I told him he needed to go home, and he said he knew someone at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who could let him stay for the night. I made sure that he went inside the house and did not cause any further trouble.

In the meantime, Officer Hendry arrested Tyrell and escorted him back to the patrol vehicle. I observed Tyrell kept resisting officers who were trying to escort him and had to be commanded multiple times to follow along.

[NARRATIVE #3 on June 06, 2026]

On 6 June 2026, I (SGT Metroka), while on duty for the City of Rome Police Department, in uniform, in a marked patrol vehicle, responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a group of individuals standing in the roadway at approximately 1:53 AM. Officers had already responded to the area earlier in the night due to a party taking place.

I then arrived on scene to assist OFC Ansari. While approaching the group at [REDACTED BY AGENCY], I heard OFC Ansari advising the group to get out of the roadway and that anyone who failed to do so would be issued a citation. While on scene, OFC Ansari attempted to locate the homeowner to advised them of maintaining a disorderly house. While attempting to identify the homeowner, a group of people that were at the residence began to leave.

As the group was leaving several individuals were observed walking in the roadway rather than using the sidewalk available. Other officers were requested to assist and to identify those individual’s walking in the roadway. One of the individuals that was stopped was a male identified as Tyrell Wedgeworth. Once Wedgeworth was identified, he was directed to utilize the sidewalk and vacate the area. At this time, Wedgeworth began yelling and screaming at officers. All of the other individuals identified followed officers lawful order to disperse the area.

Due to Wedgeworth causing a commotion, OFC Hendry then placed Wedgeworth under arrest for city ordinance disorderly conduct. While in close proximity to Wedgeworth. I observed the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. I then advised OFC Hendry of the odor. OFC Hendry then transported Wedgeworth to the Floyd County Jail.
