On February 14, 2026 at approximately 9:55pm, I responded to a suspicious vehicle call. The complainant advised she believed she was being followed.

I was notified they were on Market Place Blvd and was updated that dispatch had advised the caller to go to the police department. I was informed the vehicle was continuing to follow the caller. Dispatch advised me a short time later that they had turned into the Cumming Police Department parking lot and the vehicle had followed her into the parking lot and was circling the parking lot.

As I traveled north on Veterans Memorial Blvd in front of the Police Department (301 Veterans Memorial Blvd Cumming GA 30040) I could see two vehicles circling the parking lot as I waited in the center turning lane on traffic to pass by so I could turn in, the suspect vehicle came up the hill to Veterans Memorial Blvd. I waited to see what the vehicle was going to do. After sitting there for a minute, I turned in and the complainant, who had stopped on the back side of the parking lot, rolled her window down. As I turned in, the suspect vehicle turned south on Veterans Memorial Blvd., I could see that it was a blue Acura and had a disability tag [REDACTED] As I pulled up to her, I could see that she was visibly shaken, scared, and upset. I asked if that was him and she stated it was.

I turned around and quickly caught up to the vehicle. I activated my blue light on my marked city patrol vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Upon approaching the vehicle I made contact with the driver, Brennon Cripps, I explained the reason for the stop and requested his driver’s license which he provided. I asked why he as following the vehicle and he stated that he thought that she may be in distress. I asked why he didn’t call the police and he could not provide an answer. I explained that it was stalking. Ofc. Fausti #38 arrived on-scene.

I directed Mr. Cripps to step out of the vehicle which he complied. I instructed him to step over to the sidewalk and as he was walking he was staggering. I asked Ofc. Fausti to administer Field Sobriety. While Ofc. Fausti was conducting the evaluations, I contacted Ofc. Frett #43 and asked that he meet with the complainant.

I asked Mr. Cripps where he had followed the vehicle from and he stated his apartment complex.

A short time later, Ofc. Frett advised me that the complainant did wish to press charges. She provided a written statement. Which was scanned in and uploaded to evidence.com.

Mr. Cripps was determined to not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. I placed him in handcuffs to the rear where they were checked for proper fit, circulation, and double locked. He was asked if there was anyone who could come and get his vehicle and he stated no. I asked if there was anything of value in the vehicle and he stated he didn’t think so. I asked if there were any weapons in the vehicle and he stated there were some guns in the trunk. I advised him that we would take them into safekeeping at the police department.

Mr. Cripps was searched for weapons and contraband and none were found. He was placed into the rear passenger seat and secured for transport by being buckled in.

A vehicle impound inventory was conducted and the following weapons were taken into safekeeping.

Ofc. Fausti transported Mr. Cripps to the Forsyth County Jail where he was turned over to jail staff for booking.

List wrecker Johnsons Wrecker service was contacted and arrived a short time later to retrieve the vehicle.

I requested dispatch to patch me through to the complainant on a recorded line. A short time later, I spoke with [VICTIM #1]. She stated that her and her son (15 year old) had taken her son’s girlfriend home at the Greystone Summit apartment complex. A white male in a blue Kia pulled up behind her and stopped. When her son got back in the vehicle (less than 2 minutes later) they left. The male followed them. She began to feel uneasy and continued south on Atlanta Hwy. She crossed Veterans Memorial Blvd, the vehicle continued following. She called 911 and turned east on Buford Dam Rd, the vehicle followed. She turned south on Market Place Blvd, the vehicle followed. She was instructed by dispatch to go to the Cumming Police Department. She turned east on Buford Hwy and the vehicle followed. She continued onto Veterans Memorial Blvd and the vehicle followed. She pulled into the Cumming Police Department and again the vehicle followed. She began circling the parking lot with the vehicle still following her until she saw the police car. The vehicle then left.

I provided her with information as to how to obtain a protection order.

A warrant for Stalking was obtained for Mr. Cripps (Warrant #: CE-0155773)
