On July 18th, 2026, at approximately 21:51 hours, I, Deputy J. Parks 531, was dispatched to a call at [70 BLOCK] Lakeside Park Circle. The Caller advised his girlfriend, [VICTIM #1], had been attacked at Airport Grocery. I responded code one, non-emergency, in patrol unit 121, with in-car and body-worn cameras active.
I arrived on scene at approximately 22:08 hours. I met with the caller, [WITNESS #1], and his fiancée, [VICTIM #1]. [WITNESS #1] told me that his ex-girlfriend who he has two kids with, attacked his fiancée at airport grocery. He said his ex-girlfriend has been harassing his fiancée. He said on July 24th, Jade saw [VICTIM #1] at Airport Grocery and pulled [VICTIM #1]’s shirt up asking her where her stretch marks were. He said it was non-stop with Jade and that [VICTIM #1] doesn’t even know her. I then asked [VICTIM #1] what happened.
[VICTIM #1] told me that she was inside the Airport Grocery convenience store shopping around 21:30 hours. She said a little boy walked up to her and asked her if she was [WITNESS #1]’s Girlfriend. She said she replied yes baby. She said that when she said yes, the little boy spat in her face. She said she followed the little boy and his mother, Jade Pettit, to their car in the parking lot. She said she was going to ask Jade why her kid spat in her face.
She said that Jade went to the driver’s side compartment and grabbed something. She said Jade then came around the car, striking her in the face. She said she began fighting back to protect herself. She said Jade knocked her down to the ground, knocking her down and climbing on top of her while striking her with her fists. She said that when Jade stopped, she was bleeding a lot from her lip.
I asked her if she had any injuries, and she showed me her top lip. She had a deep laceration on her top lip that was still bleeding a little. The laceration looked like it would need some stitches. I asked her if she had any other injuries, and she showed me some scratches on her neck. She had blood all over her pants, shirt, and hands. There was also blood on the driver’s side of her car and on the inside. She said she was going to the ER to get treated. I took pictures of her injuries and had her fill out a witness statement form that I collected.
I provided [VICTIM #1] with a Victim’s Advocate pamphlet, vine pamphlet, and filled out a victim notification. On call, CID J. Perigo was contacted in reference to the fight happening at Airport Grocery, and security camera footage needed.
