On Friday February 07, 2025 I Deputy Ellington 522 was assigned to Gilmer Sheriff’s Office UPD. At 17:10 hours I was requested to call [PHONE NUMBER REDACTED] and speak with [VICTIM #1] in reference to a Hit and Run Accident on Roy Road.
I made contact with Mr. [VICTIM #1] and his stated that today at 15:03 hours his wife (Mrs. [WITNESS #1]) was traveling north on Roy Road (approximate location 34.3839 N -84.1956 W) in there 2022 Tesla Model 3 (GA tag [REDACTED BY AGENCY] VIN: [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) when a white 2500 Dodge Ram passed him on a double yellow line. The passenger’s side of Ram Truck made impact with the driver’s side view mirror of the Tesla and left the scene of the accident. Mr. and Mrs. [WITNESS #1]’s son ([VICTIM #2] DOB: [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) was in the rear driver’s seat within a child safety seat at the time. Mrs. [WITNESS #1] collected the accident on the in-car camera/video system. The GA tag number on the Ram truck was [REDACTED BY AGENCY] registered to Mr. Keith Ashline of [400 BLOCK] Talking Water Way Ellijay, GA. Mr. [VICTIM #1] was provided with the case number 2502-3089.
