On 09/06/2022 around 1445 Hours, I responded to 400 Warren Mason Blvd Kentucky Fried Chicken. In reference to a problem with a person call.
Upon my arrival at the scene Ofc. Nichols # 144 was inside the restaurant speaking with the suspect a black female identified as Alexandrea Jones. Jones was told by her manager that she was terminated and needed to leave the business immediately.
According to Jones the manager informed her to clock out and leave because she was terminated. Jones advised that the manager became loud and confrontational, so she was not going to let her speak to her that way.
Myself and Ofc. Nichols gave, Jones numerous verbal commands to stop yelling, cussing and leave the restaurant. Jones continued to be loud and use profanity as she attempted to leave. I gave Jones another verbal command to leave immediately or she would be placed under arrest. Jones refused to obey the commands and once again starting raising her voice, and continued to use profanity. Now in the presence of children and other occupants inside the restaurant.
I then informed Jones that she was being placed under arrest and placed her in double- locked handcuffs behind her back and checked them for tightness. Jones was lead outside and to the rear of my patrol vehicle, where she was searched for contraband and or weapons. Jones had a small quarter size bag of green unburnt marijuana in her left rear pocket of her pants. The search yielded no other contraband.
Jones was transported to the Glynn County Detention Center and released to the jail staff. Where she was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
The marijuana was destroyed at the scene
