[NARRATIVE #1 on July 09, 2026]

On the above date and time I was dispatched to [REDACTED]. I reference to a domestic.

When I arrived I made contact with [VICTIM #1] who was visibly upset and put her finger to her lips before mouthing “help me help me help me” Officer Pawelek pulled her to the side to speak with her. After speaking with him for а second she turned around and said “No it was just my mom, she’s like I didn’t get no whopping I busted my lip because I fell down the stairs, he had left with his home boy about thirty minutes ago, I don’t know where he went”.

I asked her if we were allowed to search the residence. She said “This not my place I don’t tell you that” she then pointed to the up stairs, and then said “I don’t want to tell you that because aunt stay here and I don’t want to invite him in the ho, invite you guys in the home, and like”. She then pointed again upstairs and mouthed to me “He’s upstairs” she then said “and it can get her kicked out if y’all come in but everything is fine”. She the said “I had dumped a little water on the floor”. I asked her who is upstairs. She advised that it was her aunt and her two babies. At this point I realized that she was trying to hid something and asked her to step to the side and speak with me in private.

Once I got her to the side I could see that her bottom lip was actively bleeding and asked her what happened to her lip. She pointed upstairs and I asked her to write her name and date of birth down on the note pad including her phone number. Ms. [VICTIM #1] the pointed back upstairs and made mouthed “he has my phone”. She wrote the offenders name Alfred Eddie down on the note pad as well.

I then asked the homeowner if anyone else was inside of the house. She advised that no one else should be inside of the residence. I asked her if Officers were able to check the residence to see if anyone else was inside of the home. She advised that Officers were able to check the residence.

I announced myself as a Brunswick Police Officer prior to making entrance to the residence. Once inside of the residence I held the staircase as fellow Officers searched the downstairs. Once we made it upstairs there was one bedroom door that was closed and the rest were open. Sgt. Debrujin was giving loud clear commands saying “Brunswick Police if your in here make yourself known. You can hear Mr. Eddie say “I’m right here”. Once the door is open I could a toddler standing there and I could see Mr. Eddies right hand. Mr. Eddie was then instructed to come out of the room and walk with officers down the steps.

Once outside before being asked a question Mr. Eddie said “you guys said I hit her if you asked her if I put my hands on her I have no scratch marks, She has no scratch marks on her”. He then said “She had slipped down the stairs because she wanted to pour water on me and my child I just had to get out of the shower, she slammed my hair, slammed my body all that, my aunt will tell you everybody will tell you”. I asked Mr. Eddie to show mw his hands. Mr. Eddie advised that the marks on his hand were from where he puts his hands in his pants pockets. He advised that the fresh mark on his hand is one that just started.

I pulled Ms. [VICTIM #1] to the side and asked her to explain what happened. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised the following. She first started off by talking about what happened the night prior. I redirected her to what happened prior to us being called. She advised that Mr. Eddie brought another female over last night and she was not worried about that. She texted him and asked if she could get a few things out of the room so she can go back to Miami Florida. Once she advised this it made him angry and asked how are you going to get there she told him that her mother was going to get her an uber. He then hit her in the face and took the phone out of her hand while she was on the phone with her mother. I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] if he struck her anywhere else. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that he punched her all over her body. I then gave her a case number and a case card.

I went to go speak with Mr. Eddie after that. When I made it to him her mother called again and he answered her phone and he was instructed to hang up the call. After he hung up the phone I instructed him to stand up where he was placed under arrest for Battery FVA and Cruelty to children in the 3rd degree without incident.

After Mr. Eddie was taken into custody we began walking him to my patrol vehicle. On the way there he began to lay down and refused to walk to the vehicle. It took multiple Officers to get him up onto his feet and walk him to the vehicle. Once we made it to my patrol vehicle Mr. Eddie calmed down for a second and let Officers search him. Once he was searched he refused to get inside of the patrol vehicle. Officers had to assist him into the vehicle due to him resisting Officers. Officers were able to get Mr. Eddie into the back of the patrol vehicle.

On the way to the jail Mr. Eddie began to hit his head repeatedly on the partition of my patrol vehicle. I called Sgt. Debruijn and advised her of the situation. Sgt. Debruijn advised me to take Mr. Eddie to the hospital to have him medically cleared due to him having lacerations on his forehead from him hitting his head. Hospital security was then advised that I was bringing in a combative patient. Once we arrived to the hospital Mr. Eddie was able to calm down and listen to Officers without incident.

While at the hospital Mr. Eddie advised that he had photos and texts on the cellular phone that showed that Ms. [VICTIM #1] and her mother set him up to get arrested. I asked Mr. Eddie to show me the texts and photos. Mr. Eddie would not show me the whole conversation on a few parts and the photos showed previous injuries to Ms. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. Eddie advised that Ms. [VICTIM #1] caused the injuries to herself today and that she was lying about the whole thing.

I advised Mr. Eddie that I would go back to the residence after he was booked into the jail and investigate more. He also showed me a video of there son laying in bed playing with a string of lights after he said he had proof of Ms. [VICTIM #1] trying to choke the baby with the lights. No video of Ms. [VICTIM #1] was shown. Mr. Eddie was medically cleared and transported to the Glynn County Detention Center (CDC) without incident.

Mr. Eddie was charged with Battery FVA (16-5-23.1), Cruelty to Children in the 3rd Degree (16-5-70(d)), and Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officer (16-10-24). Mr. Eddie was turned over to the jail staff without incident.

I went back to the residence to return Ms. [VICTIM #1] cellular device and speak to her about the photos and the conversation that was shown to me in the hospital. Ms. [VICTIM #1] showed me the whole conversation with her mother that showed not what Mr. Eddie advised happened in the hospital. The texts showed that she was talking to her mother about how she was attacked and that she wanted to go back to Miami Florida with her.

[NARRATIVE #2 on July 09, 2026]

I arrived with Officer Gullette (#427) at [REDACTED] in response to a domestic violence situation.

Upon arrival, we located the residence and knocked on the door. I did not hear any indication of fighting, physical or verbal, upon approaching the residence and waiting. After about thirty or so seconds, a black female, identified as [VICTIM #1], answered the door.

I immediately noticed that she seemed to be in distress. She was bleeding from her bottom lip, was stiff in her movements, seemingly cautious, and her eyes were wet. She began mouthing the words “help me,” and we waved for her to come outside. She spoke in a quiet whisper, as though there was somebody she didn’t want to hear her, and told us that the male she was arguing with, later identified as Alfred Eddie, had told her to tell officers that he was not home. She began crying, saying that he had their baby in the room and had a gun. She mimicked a gun with her fingers as she said this, alerting us. While speaking with her, Sergeant Debruijn (#421) arrived on scene. I stepped away and informed her of the situation, where she then alerted dispatch and other units.

As I reapproached the door, the residence owner, [WITNESS #1], and her two children came down the stairs. She did not say anything about the situation, but we asked them to step outside to which they agreed. At this point, according to her, the residence should have been empty. We were then given permission by [WITNESS #1] to search the home.

Upon entry, we announced outselves and immediately cleared the downstairs area, to include the living room and kitchen, and had no contact with any persons. We approached the stairs and announced ourselves again, with no response. As we reached the top of the stairs, a voice suddenly called out from one of the closed rooms, and Alfred exited the room with a child behind him. Hе did not have any firearms visibly on him. He was escorted outside for questioning. Him and [VICTIM #1] were seperated, with me standing by with Alfred by the front door of the residence while [VICTIM #1] was with Ofc. Gullette a few rooms over, away from one another.

Upon coming outside, I asked if I could pat him down for weapons, to which he agreed, and quickly patted the outside of his clothing. He did not have any weapons on his person. When asked what was going on and why [VICTIM #1] was injured, he explained that they were arguing and that she had gotten injured after falling down the stairs. He then went to the stairs and showed us how it had happened.

After getting his information, I began to run it through [REDACTED BY AGENCY] SERVICE when Ofc. Gullette approached him and announced that he was under arrest. After being handcuffed, Alfred became irate, yelling at [VICTIM #1] to tell officers the truth and asking her what he had done. As we attempted to escort him to the patrol car, he began screaming and yelling towards [VICTIM #1] louder, and refusing to move.

Ofc. Corrigan, myself, Gullette, and Sergeant Debruijn made multiple attempts asking Alfred to walk to the car, and as we approached the sidewalk a few feet away he then refused to walk, falling onto the ground and forcing officers to try and pick him up. We made attempts to bring him to his feet, and even had to grab his legs and arms to carry him to the patrol car, to which he continued yelling towards [VICTIM #1] as well as screaming incoherently. About forty feet from the patrol car, we were forced to place Alfred on the ground because it was becoming increasingly difficult to carry him with his erratic movements and with how sweaty he had become. Finally, we were able to get him to walk under his own power to the patrol car.

Once getting to the patrol car, Alfred refused to sit inside of it. We attempted to force him into the back seat by grabbing his arms and legs but he continued to resist officers, screaming incoherently. After about five minutes of attempting to place him in the seat, both Ofc. Corrigan and Sergeant Debruijn told Alfred that he would be tased if he continued to fight officers and resist arrest. Ofc. Corrigan then presented a taser, causing Alfred to finally bring his head and legs within the vehicle, allowing officers to close the doors. He continued to yell and began kicking the doors with both his legs.

A few minutes after securing him in the back seat, I and Ofc. Gullette left the scene enroute to the Glynn County Detention Center (CDC) to process Alfred. On the way there, Alfred continued frantically screaming, and kicking the inside of his passenger door as hard as he could. He then sat up, and began frantically bashing his head against the hard plastic partition that divides the seating in the patrol car. He did this for about a full block while we told him to stop. He then began complaining that he was bleeding and hurting.

I told him to sit back against the seat so I could look at him. I shined my flashlight on him and observed that he had started swelling on his forehead and had two or three small scratches that had begun to bleed a little. He also exclaimed that his pe*is was bleeding. After examining his forehead, we rerouted ourselves to the hospital so medical staff could evaluate him for any further injuries. At this point, he had stopped trying to escape from the vehicle.

Upon arrival and entry into the hospital, body cams from officers were disabled due to patient privacy. I discussed what happened with medical staff who then, over the period of an hour or two, spoke with and briefly evaluated Alfred. While at the hospital, Alfred had periods where he would calm down enough to speak with officers but continued frantically hyperventilating and speaking too fast to be heard coherently. He also had periods where he would groan and start speaking loudly to himself, with his voice reaching outside the room and garnering looks from staff and others in the hall.

While waiting at the hospital, he made comments about having evidence on his phone that [VICTIM #1] was lying and that she self-harmed and blamed it on him, but upon opening the phone he had with him, messages only showed [VICTIM #1] sending pictures to her mother of different injuries she had sustained from him, with nothing leading officers to believe she was falsifying any statements.

He continued to tell us that these are proof he’s innocent. These photos included damage to her lip and a cut or marking of some kind on her leg, presented after the mother asked if they were figthing. He also made other claims, such as that [VICTIM #1] was doing this because she was mad he had slept with another female. When asked about if he owned any firearms, he said that he did not and that [VICTIM #1] is the only one with a firearm.

Hospital staff originally wanted to scan Alfred’s head for any brain injury, but Alfred later insisted he did not need it and only wanted to go to the jail after waiting for an extended period. He was dischaged from the hospital and was much more compliant with officers as we spoke with him more. We made it to the CDC and processed Alfred.

After booking Alfred, I and Ofc. Gullette returned to the residence to follow-up with [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1]. Ofc. Gullette questioned [VICTIM #1] while I questioned [WITNESS #1]. I asked [WITNESS #1] questions pertaining to [VICTIM #1] allegedly falling down the stairs like Alfred explained, to which [WITNESS #1] had no idea what I was talking about. She said she was completely unaware if something like that had happened, but did not hear anything like that at all. [VICTIM #1] would also claim that was a lie when asked about it.

I asked [WITNESS #1] about previous incidents, to which she said they argue and yell at one another but she had not seen them physically fight. However, she does claim that [VICTIM #1] has come to her before about being injured by Alfred. [WITNESS #1] also claims that Alfred would say things to try and emotionally hurt [VICTIM #1], such as him stating that he would go and sleep with other women or neighbors.

After finishing our follow-up, I and Ofc. Gullette left the scene. Alfred was charged with 16-5-23.1 Battery (FVA), 16-5-70 (d) Cruelty to Children in the 3rd Degree, and 16-10-24 Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers. It was also discovered that Alfred had a warrant for a probation violation out of Florida involving burglary, and that he was flagged as “ARMED AND DANGEROUS.”

Dispatch was notified of this early in the call.
