On the above date at approximately 2237 Hours I responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Brunswick GA [REDACTED BY AGENCY] for a reported domestic violence.

Ofc Combs #193 met with Mrs. [VICTIM #1] at the front hallway door of apartment [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. He indicated that a black female who had just walked out needed to be brought back for questioning. I went around the corner of the building and saw a woman in a red hoodie sweatshirt walking away (later identified as Allasia Cooper). I ordered her to stop, indicated I was a police officer, and again ordered her to stop. She did not. She continued to walk away.

I ran after her and when I caught up she turned around yelling about she was leaving. I again ordered her to stop that she was needed for questioning. When she turned around, I saw a large blue kitchen knife in her right hand. I ordered her to drop the knife, Cooper dropped the knife then turned and walked away from me. I again caught up to her and ordered her to sit on the ground. She refused.

I ordered her to place her hands behind her back and attempted to detain Cooper in handcuffs due to the nature of the call, her refusal to obey commands, and the fact she was just armed with a knife. She physically resisted my attempts to put her hands behind her back, pulling her arms away and pulling away. Ofc Combs then attempted to gain control of her left arm and she continued to resist attempts to cuff her. She kept rotating her body and attempted to yank her arms free. Cooper was handcuffed at approximately 2239 Hours. Cooper was placed in Ofc Combs patrol vehicle.

I spoke with Mrs [VICTIM #1] regarding the incident that occurred inside her apartment. [VICTIM #1] stated Cooper became irate over alleged text messages that Cooper believed Mrs. [VICTIM #1] to be sending that were about Mrs. Cooper. [VICTIM #1] stated that the two had been drinking and Cooper got mad and “kept running up on me, trying to fight me.”

[VICTIM #1] stated that at one point Cooper rushed at her and Mrs. [VICTIM #1] pushed her off. At this point [VICTIM #1] stated Cooper grabbed the blue kitchen knife (that Cooper had when I encountered her). [VICTIM #1] stated that Cooper attempted to stab her multiple times. I asked [VICTIM #1] to describe how Cooper was trying to stab her and she mimicked an over hand stabbing motion. I asked [VICTIM #1] if she was cut and she showed me long scratch on her left arm she stated came from Cooper using the knife on her. [VICTIM #1] stated that Cooper kept saying “I’ll fu*king stab you, I’ll fu*king stab you.” Mrs [VICTIM #1] stated that Cooper also tried to stab her brother [VICTIM #2].

Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated that after the attack Cooper snatched her cell phone out of her hand (there was a weeping abrasion on her right wrist). Mrs. Cooper was found with a pink cell phone in her possession which belonged to Mrs. [VICTIM #1].

Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated that Cooper came to live with her “a couple months ago.” Making this aggravated Assault FVA.

I spoke with Mr [VICTIM #2] who stated the he got between his sister and Cooper while Cooper was trying to stab Mrs. [VICTIM #1]. He stated that Cooper then tried cutting him as well. He stated that he tried to grab the knife then backed off and retrieved his handgun, for defensive purposes. Shortly after is when officers arrived and Cooper tried to flee the scene.

I spoke with Mrs. Cooper to ascertain if she was living with Mrs. [VICTIM #1]. Cooper stated she had been living with [VICTIM #1] since “around June”.
