On 24 May 2026 I responded to the area of 284 Hyde Park Commons; Winn Dixie in reference to a report of two males fighting in the roadway.

While en route, I was advised by the e911 dispatch center that a white male and black male were fighting in near the Friendly’s gas station at 3224 Highway 17 South. I was advised that the fight between the two males continued off and on from the parking lot into the roadway. I was advised that the two males separated and the black male went into the Friendly’s gas station and the white male rode on a bicycle south on Highway 17. It was also advised that the black male was an employee of Friendly’s.

Officer Henderson #144 advised he made contact with the white male at the Glynn County Fire Station #6 at 3320 Highway 17 South. Shortly afterwards, Officer Henderson requested another unit to his location. Upon my arrival, I observed Officer Henderson had a white male at taser point. I exited my vehicle and saw the male begin to get on his stomach. assisted Officer Henderson with placing the male in handcuffs behind his back with cuffs double locked.

I asked the male what his name was to which he stated that he was not going to give me his name. I asked him what was going on he advised me that if he told me, I would feel a type of way about it. He stated that he told the other male he was a ni*ger for cooking his food the way he did. He advised that the black male swung on him afterwards. The white male was advised that he would be taken to jail under the name John Doe. I placed the white male in the back of my patrol car and activated the rear camera. I overheard Officer Miller request EMS for the black male given an injury to his arm and knee.

After being placed in the back seat, the white male began kicking the car door repeatedly. The white male was removed from the vehicle onto his stomach on the ground. His legs were shackled using leg cuffs by Officer Henderson. Officer Miller arrived to the Fire House and applied flexicuffs to the male’s legs to keep them close together. The iron shackles were removed at that time.

The white male was placed in the back seat of my patrol vehicle. While en route to the hospital, the white male was continuing to yell and referring to the black male as a ni*ger. The white male also stated to me “you’re a fu*king ni*ger”. He also stated to me “you worried about me hurting myself? You ought to be worried about me hurting you.” The male called me a ni*ger multiple times. Hospital police were staged at the hospital awaiting our arrival with a wheelchair. The white male stated to the multiple hospital officers standing there, “Fu*k you looking at? Stupid a*s ni*ger. You are a ni*ger.”

As the male was escorted into the emergency room in a wheelchair, he stated loudly “Y’all are fu*king ni*gers. Suck my goddamn di*k bit*h. Fu*king ni*ger bit*h.” The male continued to yell profanities and vulgar language in the emergency room loudly enough that emergency room staff stopped what they were doing to see what was going on. He advised that if he did not have hand cuffs on he would “beat you motherfu*kers to sleep”.

When a nurse was attempting to start her assessment of him, the male loudly told her, “Get the fu*k away from me”. The male, while handcuffed to the gurney, attempted to stand up and had to be physically placed back into a seated position on the gurney twice while cursing at law enforcement. The male was medically cleared by the hospital and I was provided documentation.

The white male was transported to the Glynn County Detention Center without any further incidents. One of the detention officers advised that he knew the male. His information was retrieved and he was identified as Cameron Douglas Cook DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY] 1989. I completed an arrest booking and information sheet as well as a supplemental offender and victim information sheet. Given Mr. Cook’s refusal to follow Officer Henderson’s lawful commands, probable cause exists for obstruction of law enforcement (misdemeanor).
