On the above date I responded to 11 Glynn Plaza (Neighborhood Walmart) after being informed by dispatch that 3 people were fighting in the parking lot in front of the store.
Upon my arrival an off duty Mcintosh Deputy informed me that a male and female were walking away going towards the gas station. I observed both subjects and gave several commands for them to stop. The male later identified as Tyrone Ellis turned around and stated “for what” and continued walking away.
More verbal commands were given to Mr. Ellis and his mother [REDACTED] that was with him to stop. I grabbed Mr. Ellis and he tried to pull away in an attempt to flee at which time I placed him on the ground instructing him to place his hands behind his back. Still refusing to comply and becoming tense when myself and another officer were attempting to place him in handcuffs.
While dealing with Mr. Ellis Ms. [REDACTED] walked up behind us and I instructed her to back up and sit down on the ground, she then turned and went to leave ignoring the instructions given to her, I then detained Ms. [REDACTED] in handcuffs. Other officers were still dealing with Mr. Ellis when Chelsea Phillips appeared yelling and cussing at Ms. [REDACTED], calling her a Bit*h and using other derogatory phrases provoking Ms. [REDACTED] to respond Ms. Phillips was told several times to stop yelling and cussing and she continued to do so leading to her arrest for disorderly conduct.
I was informed by the deputy that he was walking through the parking lot when he heard loud yelling and arguing coming from the side of the front entrance. He stated he heard Mr. Ellis, Ms. [REDACTED] and Ms. Phillips arguing about who was going to drive the car. This would go on until the deputy stepped in and stated that if Mr. Phillips didn’t want to drive he didn’t have to. Walt-Mart Management also had been made aware of the incident taking place called 911.
Mr. Ellis was arrested and charged with criminal Trespass for being on Walamrt Property 11 Glynn Plaza. He was issued a CTW on 2/07/2023. Obstruction for When given lawful commands to stop by officers refused and then refused to be placed in handcuffs.
Ms. Phillips was arrested and charged with Disorderly conduct for using provoking language toward Ms. [REDACTED] calling her a bit*h and using profanity in a public setting causing a disturbance.
Ms. [REDACTED] was released.
