On 08/16/2026 at approximately 0931 hours I responded to the area of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a 911 hangup.

Due to me already being in the area I responded. Ofc. Combs got out with a B/M identified as Eric Shaw. I got out with Ofc. Combs, Ofc. Combs advised me he believes Eric was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, at [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. I drove to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] where I spoke with B/F [VICTIM #1]. I asked [VICTIM #1] if she was married to Eric, she stated yes. I asked [VICTIM #1] what happened. [VICTIM #1] stated altercations between her and Eric has been an ongoing issue. [VICTIM #1] stated this morning while Eric was getting ready for church, she asked him to get one of the children ready, and Eric denied her request and told [VICTIM #1]’s middle child to get their youngest child ready.

[VICTIM #1] stated at this point an argument broke out and Eric became violent. [VICTIM #1] stated she told her children to record this. The kids, B/M [REDACTED BY AGENCY] began recording the altercation. [VICTIM #1] stated when Eric noticed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] recording, Eric jumped on [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and took his phone. [VICTIM #1] stated after a few more minutes of struggle, Eric got up and left. [VICTIM #1] stated after a few minutes, Eric came back and started yelling at everyone in the house again, stating that they will respect him. [VICTIM #1] stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told Eric, “how can we respect you when you don’t respect our mom”. [VICTIM #1] stated Eric then jumped on [REDACTED BY AGENCY] causing a cut on [REDACTED BY AGENCY] back. [VICTIM #1] stated then they were in there just “grambling”.

I notified Ofc. Combs to detain Eric based off witness statements. Sgt. Kruger then viewed a video of the altercation, and after a quick view of the incident he told me that we had probable cause to arrest. I drove down to where Ofc. Combs was, and spoke with Eric, who was placed in handcuffs. I read Eric the Miranda Waiver, to which he understood, and would answer questions.

I asked Eric to walk me through the incident today. Eric stated while he was getting ready for church and [VICTIM #1] came in, made a few comments, and an argument broke out over who was respected in the house. Eric stated he did lose his cool, and when [VICTIM #1] kids started to record he did try to take the phones. Eric stated the altercation continued and he was trying to take [VICTIM #1] phone, when [REDACTED BY AGENCY] got loud with him. Eric stated he grabbed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and pulled him close causing them to fall on the bed. Eric stated when they fell on the bed his shirt came over his head and all parties jumped on him. I recovered [REDACTED BY AGENCY] phone from Erics pocket.

I then drove back down to Sgt. Kruger who was interviewing [REDACTED BY AGENCY] showed me a gash on his back where he fell. The scrape still had fresh blood and redness. The injury was photographed and uploaded to evidence.com. [VICTIM #1] also had a red mark and bruising on her left wrist, which was also photographed and uploaded to evidence.com.

I then viewed the video that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] recorded. It begins during the start of the altercation, and shows Eric fighting [VICTIM #1] over her phone, and [VICTIM #1] yelling record this, record this. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] is in the video yelling “stop it” and “get off my mama”. The video shows when [REDACTED BY AGENCY] begins to record on his phone. Eric jumps aocross the room at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] grabbing [REDACTED BY AGENCY] phone from him, then going back to [VICTIM #1] still grabbing her and wrapping her up. Eric and [VICTIM #1] altercation moves to the corner of the room, where Eric is pushing [VICTIM #1] into a window stating “You gonna respect me”. Then Eric and [VICTIM #1] separate, and the video stops.

Multiple evidence.com links were sent to [VICTIM #1] to try and get the videos in evidence.com, but as of 1600 hours on 08/16/2026 no response by [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] has also called and attempted to get charges dropped. Eric was placed under arrest and transported to Glynn County CDC by Ofc. Combs.

Warrants were secure on Eric for two counts of Battery FVA, and two counts of Cruelty to Children 3rd Degree.
