[NARRATIVE #1 on May 23, 2026]
On the above date and time, I, Pfc. Saint Louis, while on duty with the Brunswick Police Department, responded to [2700 BLOCK] Altama Avenue in reference to a gunshot call.
Upon arrival, I, along with other responding units, made contact with a male at the scene. Officer Wilson #407 was able to get the suspect out of the residence so that Officer Lemay #470 and I could conduct a search. The suspect was searched thoroughly and then placed in Officer Lemay’s patrol vehicle, unit 21-11. The subject was identified as Jared Williams through his work identification card, an iPhone located during the search of his person, and by verbally providing officers with his name and date of birth.
I assisted Officer Austin #483 with placing crime scene tape throughout the area in order to preserve the scene. Mr. Williams was later moved from patrol vehicle 21-11 to my patrol vehicle, unit 21-6, due to my vehicle being equipped with an in-car camera for the rear seat area. Mr. Williams was then transferred from my patrol vehicle to Officer Wilson’s #407 patrol vehicle, unit 24-1, for transport to the CID office located at 206 Mansfield Street.
Due to exigent circumstances, Sgt. Yarborough and myself breached an interior locked door that was unable to be cleared and made safe for investigators. The residence was then secured pending the arrival of GBI agents.

[NARRATIVE #2 on May 23, 2026]
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, I, Officer Earl F. Wilson 407, was assigned to Brunswick Police (BPD) Patrol Services A1. I was wearing full BPD class c uniform equipped with Axon 4 digital body worn camera. I was operating from clearly marked patrol truck 20-2. The following is a synopisis of my involvement with this incident, it is not all-inclusive, chronological, nor verbatim, and includes a review of my body worn camera video prior to completing this narrative.
LOCATION DESCRIPTION; Rectangular house with three bedrooms which was being operated as a boarding house by Pallet Menders Inc, 400 M Street Brunswick. The house has an entrance off of Altama Avenue and off of Stonewall Street.
SCENE DESCRIPTION: Victim found lying on his back at the edge of a kitchen formed by an L-shaped counter. The victim’s face was turned to the left, with red bodily fluids and liquid coming from his head, across his ear and face. The victim was wearing a dark red shirt, tan pants, and shoes. The victim’s left arm was bent with his hand towards his shoulder, his right arm was in a similar position.
At about 0114 hours, I was doing an area check of the city Public Works and getting food at the Wawa, 4330 New Jesup Hwy. At about 0133 hours, Glynn-Brunswick 911 Center dispatched units to a 10-16 (domestic) “not active”. Officers initially asked if 911 reported a burglary. A moment later, 911 reported that “caller advised his roommate got physical and he had to shoot him”. 911 advised the caller was “putting the gun away” and “was shot in the head”.
I ran to my vehicle and activating emergency equipment to include audible sirens and flashing lights, and responded to the location. On arrival, I parked on Altama Avenue southbound in the 2700 block. I ran behind the house, which I know from past calls in that area that the residents use the Stonewell Street side to park vehicles and access the residences.
As I ran into the back yard, I observed a black male, later identified as JARED WILLIAMS, standing in the yard. He was wearing all black clothing and had a cell phone up to his ear; asked him “Where’s the man dude?” to which he responded “the man is inside right now”. I asked him who are you and responded, “I am Jared Williams”. I then stated something to the effect of, are you the one who did this, and he replied “yes”. I then placed him in handcuffs and instructed Officer LeMay to take custody of the male and to search him.
I then went to rear door of the home to check for any victims. I stopped at the rear door and called out Brunswick Police two times. Sergeant Yarborough and I then entered the home. The home had a central hallway with a single door to the right, and open area just beyond that. On the left side I observed about several doors, mostly closed. I checked the right door and no persons were found in that room, although it was in disarray with items thrown around the room and on the floor.
The first room to the left was locked. As we continued forward, the open area was a kitchen with an L-shaped counter. The kitchen opened to the main hallway with a door next to the refrigerator and cabinets that wrapped around towards the wall, and counter.
In the floor, I saw a black male laying on his back. The male was wearing a dark red shirt, tan pants and shoes. His head was tilted to the left with the right side of his face turned to the ceiling. Red bodily fluids were across his face from his right ear, across his mouth and pooling on the floor between his head and the cabinet baseboards. We checked the other open areas of the house, finding no more victims or obvious items of evidence. Glynn Fire Rescue then entered and declared the victim deceased.
I then left the residence. I instructed other BPD Officers and assisting College of Coastal Georgia Police (CCGA) to place crime scene tape around the residence, front and back, including cars parked in the street near the rear of the residence. I instructed Officer LeMay 470 to start a crime scene log and position himself near the Stonewall entrance. The suspect male was moved from Officer Lemay’s vehicle to PFC St Louis 426 vehicle. Gold Group Watch Commander Lieutenant Hurst 424 arrived and was briefed, then escorted through incident scene.
During this entry, I noticed an unspent cartridge on the ground near the doorway at the far end of the kitchen that led to the laundry room. In the bedroom, immediately adjacent to the kitchen, I noticed a rifle style pistol on the wall side of the bed. I retrieved evidence markers from my truck, marked the two items then left the residence.
When Investigative Services Detective Corporal Bradley 422 arrived, I briefed him and walked him through the location. I was then instructed by Sgt Yarborough to transport the suspect male to Investigative Services for interview.
I took custody of Jared, and seated him in right rear of my patrol truck. I transported him to BPD Investigations and escorted him inside. I then remained at the location with investigators observing from the monitor room.
Jared was placed under arrest by Detective Corporal Bradley at 0613 hours, I handcuffed Jared behind his back, searched him and then escorted him to my patrol truck. Jared was seated in right rear of truck, belted in place then transported to Glynn County Detention Center to be booked and lodged. All documents were presented to Detention Deputies. Jared was released to the custody of the Sheriff.

On the above date and time, I, Ofc. Austin, responded to [2700 BLOCK] Altama Ave. in reference to shots fired.
Upon arriving on scene, I observed Pfc. Saint Louis and Ofc. LeMay conducting a search of Jared Williams. I then began securing a perimeter around the scene with crime scene tape. I escorted Jared Williams from Ofc. LeMay’s patrol vehicle and secured him in the rear of Pfc. Saint Louis’s patrol vehicle. I remained outside Pfc. Saint Louis’s patrol vehicle until instructed by Det. Bradley to escort Mr. Williams to Ofc. Wilson’s patrol vehicle for transport to CID.
I maintained the security perimeter at the rear of the residence until I was released by the GBI.

[NARRATIVE #4 on May 23, 2026]
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, at approximately 0130 hours, I, Officer LeMay (#470), was on patrol when officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at [2700 BLOCK] Altama Ave. While en route to the scene, dispatch advised that one individual had been shot in the head. Due to the severity of the call, I activated my emergency lights and siren and responded to the scene with due regard.
Upon arrival, Officer Wilson (#407) had detained a male individual and requested that I search him. I searched the individual and then placed him in the rear seat of my patrol vehicle. I was then assigned to provide scene security and maintain the crime scene entry/exit log. I completed the crime scene entry/exit roster and maintained scene security until relieved.

[NARRATIVE #5 on May 23, 2026]
On May 23, 2026 at approximately 01:32 hours, I responded to [2700 BLOCK] Altama Avenue in reference to a gunshot victim. While en route, dispatched informed responding units the caller was also the actual shooter and the victim was laying on the floor inside the home. The weapon had been put up by the caller and he was waiting on police to arrive.
As I arrived on scene, I observed Ofc. E. Wilson transmit over the radio, he had made contact with the caller/offender. I observed Ofc. Wilson walking a handcuffed black male to the rear door of Ofc. LeMay’s patrol vehicle, where he was handed off to Ofc. LeMay and Pfc. Saint Louis.
Ofc. Wilson and myself immediately conducted a search of the home for any other individuals and the victim. While clearing the home, we came across a locked door to the left of the hallway and bypassed it to finish the search. After searching, the victim was located on the kitchen floor laying on his back with a large amount of blood pouring on the floor from his face to the baseboards of the countertop.
Once the home was declared safe, medical personnel entered the home and begin tending to the victim. I gave the medics permission to conduct whatever life saving measures that needed to be done. The medics cut or removed the front part of the victim’s shirt to try and obtain a heartbeat but was unseccessful. I was informed at that time, they had already called Charlie 2, who was already en route. A single unspent round was observed laying on the ground in the doorway of the kitchen and the rear utility room. This item was marked by Ofc. Wilson for evidence location.
I then directed myself and Ofc. Wilson to exit the home to secure the crime scene and closed the front door. While outside, I directed Ofc. L. Austin and Pfc. Saint Louis to put up crime scene tape which encompassed the entire property line and the entire roadway in front of the home. Ofc. LeMay was in charge of crime scene logging.
Lt. Hurst, Capt. Wilson, Inv. Bradley, GBI, and Capt. Galdamez were all notified of the incident and begin to arrive on scene. While on scene, the offender later identified as Jared Williams was transferred from Ofc. LeMay’s patrol vehicle to Pfc. Saint Louis’ patrol vehicle for the use of the Axon rear facing onboard dash car camera. As directed by Inv. Bradley, Ofc. Wilson then took possession of the offender and transported him to CID for further questioning.
Prior to GBI arriving, a seconday entry was made into the home due to exergent circumstances, to clear / secure the room with the locked door. Pfc. Saint Louis and myself breached the single wood door and observed a furnished bedroom with no one inside. The breaching of the door caused damage to the door frame, locking mechanism, and the door itself.
Once secuered, the coroner and GBI took over their portion of the investigation which later resulted in Mr. Williams being charged and transported to the Glynn County Detention Center. He was charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
