[NARRATIVE #1 on June 15, 2025]
On 06/15/2025 at approximately 1717 hours, dispatch advised of multiple callers of shots fired in the area of 1603 L Street, In and Out Mart. Upon arrival to the area, a black truck stopped by my patrol vehicle and advised that one of the males that had a gun in his hand had ran down Lee Street. He also advised he had quickly ran through the woods, back out, then had gotten into a white newer model Kia.
After gathering this information, other officers began arriving on scene. It was determined that shell casings were found at the In and Out Mart as well as in the street on Stonewall. As we shut down the crime scene, officers began placing evidence placards down. During this time, I went into the store and began observing video surveillance.
The first video I watched was of the actual shooting. I observed a black (wearing a black t shirt and grey jeans) male run out of the store and into the middle of the street on Stonewall. Shortly after, I observed two black males (one wearing what appeared to be pink shorts and a black t shirt and the other wearing a dark in color jacket with grey pants) appear at the corning of the store both holding firearms.
This is when you could hear the shots begin firing. I went outside and forwarded this information along to Lt. Hurst. I then went back inside and attempted to get better pictures of the males from inside the store. During this time, I observed the victim walk into the store followed by a group of four black males (two being shooters). They appear to be talking to the victim and when the victim goes to leave the store, one of the shooters that was wearing the dark jacket and grey pants takes his handgun out and hits the victim in the head.
The victim then runs from the store and that is when the shooting video takes place outside the store. CID shortly arrived on scene and the videos were shown to Inv. Holt. I also during this time got still shots of the two shooters and sent them through email to all officers at the department. The scene was then turned over to CID and processed.
It should be noted that during this call my department issued body camera was at the station charging.

[NARRATIVE #3 on July 02, 2025]
On July 02, 2025 I, Sergeant Giesbers, observed a known wanted subject, Mr. Jeffrey Sheffield on the front porch of [2400 BLOCK] Lee Street wearing black shorts and no shirt while sitting at O Street and Lee Street. Due to the nature of Mr. Sheffield’s warrants I waited for other units to arrive in the area before approaching. While still sitting at this location I observed him walk back onto the front porch.
Upon turing the corner onto Lee Street Mr. Sheffield went into the residence. While approaching the residence Patrol First Class Stogner advised she could hear russling inside the residence on the north facing side of the residence. I knocked on the door and Mr. Sheffield answered and I asked for his name which he confirmed was “Jeff”. I placed Mr. Sheffield under arrest for his active warrant.
Due to the warrant being for aggravated assault with a firearm I requested everyone exit the residence and Mr. Sheffield’s girlfriend exited. Lt. Hurst and I cleared the residence for any other person, which yielded negative results. Myself and other officers stoodby at the residence while a search warrant was secured by Investigator Sasser.
Mr. Sheffield was transported to the Criminal Investigation Division for an interview and then trasnported and released to the Glynn County Detention Center.
While on scene Alexxus Williams arrived on scene and upon running her information I was advised she had an active warrant through Mccrae Georgia and they wished to place a hold. Ms. Williams was transported to Glyn County Detention Center by Officer Acevedo, booked and released to GCDC staff.
NCIC/GCIC removal was completed for Mr. Wise by Investigator Sasser and one was not completed for Ms. Williams due to it being another agency’s warrant.

On the above date and time, I, Officer Acevedo, responded to [2400 BLOCK] Lee Street in reference to officers locating a wanted subject.
Upon arrival, I unholstered my department-issued service weapon due to the wanted subject being Jeffrey Sheffield, who was wanted for Aggravated assault with a firearm. Sgt. Jeffrey was taken to my marked patrol vehicle where he was searched incident to arrest. Jeffrey was placed into my patrol vehicle. I then transported Jeffrey to the Criminal Investigation Division, where he was released to Detectives.
I was notified by Sgt. Giesbers to return to [2400 BLOCK] Lee Street due to having a female, Alexxis Williams, on scene that had a Warrant out of a different county. She was placed in handcuffs, double-locked, and checked for fit. Alexxis was searched incident to arrest by another female officer on scene. She was placed into my patrol vehicle, where she was transported to the Glynn County Detention Center, where an arrest and booking were completed. Alexxis was then transferred over to jail staff for further booking.
Later that day, I was told by Sgt. Giesbers to go to the Criminal Investigation Division building to assist with a transport of an arrestee. When I arrived, I was given Jeffrey’s paperwork and warrants. I then placed Jeffrey into handcuffs and put him into my patrol vehicle. I transported Jeffrey to the Glynn County Detention Center, where I served Jeffrey his warrants. I then transferred Jeffrey over to jail staff for further booking.
