I Corporal Bradley on 04/27/2025 was dispatched to Amherst Street and Gloucester Street in reference to an Assault. I arrived on scene and made contact with [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised that he was on the porch of his residence speaking with his girlfriend [WITNESS #1]. He advised that Kaniyah Stephens-Robinson [WITNESS #1]’s sister then approached the residence and pushed him. He believes it was due to him calling Kaniyah’s daughter slow. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised he retaliated by throwing ice cream at her. Kaniyah then hit him on the arm. Mr. [VICTIM #1] then advised he left his house to get away from Kaniyah. Kaniyah followed him in her blue four door car and drove behind him on the sidewalk attempting to hit him. Kaniyah then got out and poured gasoline on him. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised he thought she was trying to hit him with the car.

I then spoke with Ms. [WITNESS #1]. Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised she did not observe the altercation until Mr. [VICTIM #1] was leaving the residence. Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised Kaniyah stated she was going to run Mr. [VICTIM #1] over with her car and left in her vehicle.

I then spoke with [WITNESS #2] who advised she was at 1409 Gloucester Street; Gallops Mart. Ms. [WITNESS #2] observed a vehicle traveling on the sidewalk chasing Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Ms. [WITNESS #2] advised that once the vehicle stopped on Amherst Street the female driver gets out and hits Mr. [VICTIM #1] and drives off.

I then arrived at 1409 Gloucester Street; Gallops Mart to observe camera footage. Upon reviewing camera footage I observed a blue car turn driving north on the wrong side of MLK Jr blvd take a left at Gloucester Street west bound. The vehicle is traveling on the south side sidewalk with a male walking in front of the vehicle. The vehicle goes past the male on the sidewalk either making small contact or nearly missing him. The vehicle then goes out of frame. The vehicle then is seen traveling east on Gloucester Street and comes to a stop on the shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle then u turns and again goes up over the curb and onto the sidewalk where the male is standing. The vehicle then goes out of frame. I was able to capture the video footage on my body cam.

Later on in the same day we get a call about the same group of people and the blue car is back. Officer deBruijn observes a 2014 Blue Hyundai Elantra GA tag of [REDACTED] pass her in the immediate area of the call. Officer deBruijn was told by the caller that that was the vehicle. Dispatch advised that the car belongs to Kaniyah Stephens-Robinson. I advised Officer deBruijn over the radio. The vehicle came to a stop at S Street and Stonewall Street.

I then arrived on scene and had Kaniyah step out of the vehicle and come speak with me. Kaniyah responded “im gonna assume what this is about my moms boyfriend”. The mother told Kaniyah they have been fighting all day. Kaniyah told her that Mr. [VICTIM #1] had called her baby slow. Mr. [VICTIM #1] got rowdy and threw a bottle that hit her baby in the back of the head. Kaniyah stated “im not gonna lie I did push him.” Kaniyah advised that Mr. [VICTIM #1] continued walking up to her car throwing stuff in her car. Kaniyah stated “So I back up, he walking in front of the car and I pulled up but the car never touched him.” Kaniyah advised they were walking by the church and Mr. [VICTIM #1] spits and she then pulls away. Kaniyah stated she was driving the car earlier

Kaniyah was then placed in handcuffs, double locked and checked for tightness. I then had Officer deBruijn search her and she was secured in my patrol vehicle. Kaniyah was then transported to the Glynn County Detention Center. Kaniyah was handed over to Detention Center Staff.
