On 12/31/2025 at approximately 2256 hours, I responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Court regarding a Domestic incident.

Upon arrival, I spoke with [VICTIM #1]. I could tell [VICTIM #1] was heavily intoxicated due to her being unsteady on her feet and the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person. [VICTIM #1] stated she needed to call her son.

I asked [VICTIM #1] what happened. [VICTIM #1] stated that she and her boyfriend (Keneth Hanson) had been drinking earlier in the day and he became physical with her. Due to [VICTIM #1] being intoxicated, it wasn’t easy to have her remain on track with giving me her statement. [VICTIM #1] kept taking long pauses and did not answer my questions. I eventually found out that [VICTIM #1] had ran from her address at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to the other address where I was speaking with her.

[VICTIM #1] told me another incident had occurred shortly before she called 911. [VICTIM #1] stated Keneth had grabbed her by the neck to the point where she could not breathe. [VICTIM #1] asked if she could show me the back porch where the incident occurred. I informed [VICTIM #1] I wanted to get more information before we returned to her residence. [VICTIM #1] also asked if I would protect her when we walked back over to her house.

[VICTIM #1] showed me where Keneth grabbed her by the neck. I could observe redness around [VICTIM #1]’s throat. I could also observe what appeared to be a fingernail indentation on the right side of [VICTIM #1]’s throat. [VICTIM #1]’s neck also displayed a purplish bruise on the right side, approximately two inches from the fingernail indentation. I could not tell if the bruise was fresh or old. I also observe redness around [VICTIM #1]’s throat area.

[VICTIM #1] also showed me a long cut on the back of her left bicep. I could observe this cut was fresh due to the blood still clotting on the wound. [VICTIM #1] was unsure of how she sustained this wound, but she believed she got it when Keneth had grabbed her by the neck. [VICTIM #1] stated she felt as if she could not breathe. When I asked [VICTIM #1] if she lost consciousness, she replied, stating, “God, are you fu*king for real?”

I then escorted [VICTIM #1] back to her residence while Ofc. C. Padgett (#169) and Ofc. J. McMullen (#140) were standing by Keneth. As we approached a door inside the garage, where it led into the interior of the residence [VICTIM #1] stopped. [VICTIM #1] turned to me and stated the stairs I was on was where Keneth had grabbed her by the neck earlier in the day during a different altercation. [VICTIM #1] showed me the back porch where the incident allegedly occurred. [VICTIM #1] stated the table and chairs were flipped over, but they were now fixed.

[VICTIM #1] stated she could not remember what the original argument was about, but said Keneth became aggressive toward her. [VICTIM #1] stated Keneth called her a “piece of sh*t” and a “thief”. Due to [VICTIM #1]’s condition, it wasn’t easy to obtain a complete description of the events from her perspective. [VICTIM #1] kept stating she just wanted to speak to her son. [VICTIM #1] also stated that her phone screen was broken, but she could not give a price to repair it.

I then spoke to Keneth, who was in the driveway of the residence. Keneth stated the two began arguing due to Keneth’s daughter getting a tattoo. Keneth stated that he thought [VICTIM #1]’s son had done the tattoo. Keneth stated him and [VICTIM #1]’s argument went back and forth between the back porch and main bedroom of the residence. Keneth stated [VICTIM #1] had pushed him first, so he began pushing her back. Keneth stated he began pushing her back, but then he began to hold her.

During the physical aspect of the incident, Keneth stated that both he and [VICTIM #1] fell onto the floor. Keneth told me he had never hit [VICTIM #1] and she had never hit him. I also asked Keneth how [VICTIM #1] sustained the cut on the back of her arm. Keneth stated she may have sustained the injury when the two were on the floor.

I asked Keneth if he had grabbed [VICTIM #1] by the throat at any point during the altercation and he denied doing so. I also asked Keneth if he had ever grabbed [VICTIM #1] by the throat at any point in the past and he also denied doing so.

Ofc. Padgett then informed me he had found a broken vase and a broken shot glass on the back porch. When we asked Keneth about the broken items, he said they were damaged during an argument between his brother and his brother’s wife. Keneth stated his brother began arguing with his wife, so they left and Keneth and [VICTIM #1] began arguing shortly after. Keneth stated [VICTIM #1] was the one who initiated physical contact with him. Keneth sustained no injuries from the altercation.

While speaking to Keneth, [VICTIM #1] had walked back over to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Court to call her son. I went inside to speak with [VICTIM #1] and she stated, “What do you want me to say? My new boyfriend is beating me”. I asked. [VICTIM #1] if Keneth had grabbed her first and she stated Keneth had grabbed her first.

After speaking with both parties and examining [VICTIM #1]’s injuries more, I determined I had probable cause to place Keneth under arrest for Battery (FVA). I walked over to Keneth and informed him he was under arrest. Keneth was placed in handcuffs, which were double-locked once an appropriate fit was established. Keneth was searched incident to arrest and placed into the back seat of my patrol vehicle. Keneth was transported to the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office, where he was released to jail staff without incident.

I have drafted a warrant for Keneth for the charge listed below.

A copy of the ABIS/SOVI was uploaded to Evidence.com. [VICTIM #1] was provided with a GCPD Victim’s Bill of Rights.

All pictures of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries were uploaded to Evidence.com.
