On 06/08/2026 at approximately 1802 I responded to 3900 Newcastle Street (Dash Food Mart) in reference to a Problem Person. Upon arrival, I spoke with Dash Food Mart employees.
At 1802 hours, Dash Mart employees called about a female actively screaming inside the gas station and throwing rocks at the clerks.
Officer J. Miller #130, Officer M. Tapia #161, Officer C. Covington #142 and I (Officer L Owens), arrived on scene. As we pulled in to the parking lot, I noticed a full 24 pack of Dasani bottles get thrown outside from inside the store. We entered the store and made contact with JAMIE MARIE TAYLOR. Ms. Taylor at the time was standing in front of the check out area yelling and cursing.
There was items scattered inside the store and the rocks she threw at employees. Officers moved in to place Ms. Taylor in handcuffs. As Officer Miller and Officer Tapia went to effect this arrest, Ms. Taylor continued yelling “no the f*ck Im not” as she tensed up her body when we tried to cuff her. Ms. Taylor was upset she was denied service. As she was escorted outside, I could hear her screaming “I don’t care what you say, Im gonna kill you b*tch” to Officer Miller.
I was then informed that she kicked Officer Miller. As Ms. Taylor was taken to the ground so she would stop kicking, Officer Covington attempted to cuff her ankles with flex cuffs. Officer Covington was kicked by Ms. Taylor with her right leg.
Ms. Taylor continued screaming in front of everyone outside in the parking lot. She kept yelling “f*ck you b*tch”. As I attempted to search her incident to arrest, while she was on the ground, she grabbed my shin area with her hand and I could feel her nails scratching me. I had to tell Ms. Taylor to not grab me, which she apologized and agreed to calm down while I tried to search her. I did not locate any contraband on her person and was able to get her secured in my patrol vehicle.
I spoke with the owner of Dash Food Mart, [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that Ms. Taylor was inside the store cursing and talking to herself. She then went to the cash register and did not have enough money to pay for her drink. Mr. [VICTIM #1] told her just to give him whatever amount of money she said, Ms. Taylor handed him $2 and started cursing again.
Ms. Taylor then started throwing items around inside the store, threw rocks at him and the other employee and in the process knocked down a camera and broke his iphone. I did observe several food items thrown all over the store floor and the rocks that she threw. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated him and his employee did not wish to press charges against Ms. Taylor for the damages caused and the rocks thrown at them.
I transported Ms. Taylor to the hospital for a jail clearance since she was complaining of her sugar being low and her arm hurting. While at the hospital, we waited for a lengthy amount of time and were later informed that hospital staff requested CT scans and x-rays. We continued waiting and at around 2042 hours, were informed there was no time update and the scans were not reviewed yet.
With the approval from Lt. K. Jones #149, we released Ms. Taylor. I informed her that she would have active arrest warrants for Obstruction with Violence and Disorderly Conduct. Ms. Taylor mentioned numerous times that she has been charged many times with assaulting law enforcement.
Per GCPD Policy, at the scene, Lt. Jones was requested that he respond to our location since force was used on Ms. Taylor. No officers were injured in this arrest.
Officer Kiser remained on scene and retrieved surveillance video of Ms. Taylor inside the store.
