[NARRATIVE #1 on March 04, 2025]
On the above date and time, I, Officer Acevedo, responded to [200 BLOCK] Perry Place in reference to a shots fired call. While en route, dispatch advised us that the caller said that someone had shot at her. The caller told dispatch that it was a girl named Precious, another girl named Tayona, and Precious’s Boyfriend.
I then arrived at [200 BLOCK] Perry Place and spoke with the victim’s and other parties involved.

[NARRATIVE #2 on March 04, 2025]
When I arrived, I made contact with [VICTIM #1]. She said she was walking on the sidewalk near the Entrance to Perry Place by the 1500 Block of M Street. She said she was facing East while walking with her son and mother and saw a dark in color Jeep Cherokee or Jeep Liberty come up from behind her and park at the stop sign at M Street and Stonewall Street. [VICTIM #1] saw a black male around 5’06, with long hair shoulder length, a white shirt, black pants, and green Boxers come out of the driver’s side door. She then saw Tayona Roberts come out of the left-side passenger door. [VICTIM #1] then saw Precious Simmons come out of the front right-side passenger door.
[VICTIM #1] said they were walking towards her at a fast pace. She had left her son, [VICTIM #2] (3 years old), by the sidewalk near M Street with her mother, [VICTIM #3], and started to back up towards her house at [200 BLOCK] Perry Place. When the black male had gotten close to a handicapped space between [200 BLOCK] and [200 BLOCK] Perry Place, she saw the male pull out a black handgun from his green boxer with his right hand and shoot three times at her. [VICTIM #1] said that she had been to her door and inside the house by the time shots were fired. When [VICTIM #1] told me what happened, I noticed a pair of light brown slippers located in the grassy area near the sidewalk facing M St. I asked [VICTIM #1] who they were. She advised they were Tayona’s Slippers.
When I talked with [VICTIM #3], She said she was walking with her daughter near M Street. She said that she did not see the people that were involved. [VICTIM #3] said that when she heard three shots fired, she picked up her nephew and ran toward In-and-Out.
I talked to [VICTIM #1] again; I asked her why someone would try to shoot at her. She said her sister [WITNESS #1] had made a post on Facebook. I then talked with [WITNESS #1]. She said in 2018, she made a post that Precious Simons reposted. It mentioned how she wouldn’t date a Leo because they were aggressive. In that comment section, [WITNESS #1] said that Precious and Tayona commented and told her to shut up and that it was a joke. [VICTIM #1] said she thought that was the reason they shot at her.
The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) was on scene at [200 BLOCK] Perry Place.
I looked for any property damage and found a bullet hole on the door of [200 BLOCK] Perry Place. I knocked on the door and got no response. The property manager for Perry Place said that a female and a kid lived in the house. [VICTIM #1] told me she was texting the female who lived at [200 BLOCK] Perry Place and advised me she was not there. We still did not know if the kid was in the house. The property manager then informed us she would get the keys. She opened the door, and CID and I conducted a protective sweep of the house. We found the bullet had penetrated the door into a room on the left entering the house. The bullet then traveled through the wall into the bathroom. We were unable to find the bullet.
The resident of [200 BLOCK] Perry Place, [VICTIM #4], had arrived on scene. I advised her of the bullet hole in her door and that we entered her house to do a protective sweep due to the bullet hole and not knowing if her child was at home. She advised that she had left her house at 0645 in the morning to leave her child at Brunswick High School. She then came back and left for work at 0745 in the morning.
I talked to the property Manager, [WITNESS #2]. I showed her the damages to [200 BLOCK] Perry Place. She said the cost to fix would be $20 to patch the holes. I also showed her the damage to the fences near M Street and Stonewall. A bullet hit one fence post. Another fence post was also hit, but the bullet went through and through. [WITNESS #2] said they couldn’t just replace the one post and would have to replace the whole panel. She said the cost to replace both panels would be $1,400 ($700 each).
I gave a case card to all parties involved. I advised that I was going to write a report.
All body cam footage was uploaded to evidence.com.
The above is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and recollection.

Interview with [WITNESS #3]
I was in the area of Perry place boloing for the offenders, when a citizen stopped me in front of [2300 BLOCK] Stonewall. She was later identified as [WITNESS #3]. [WITNESS #3] advised that she heard approximately 5 shots being fired and she observed a black male, running East on M St. [WITNESS #3] observed the male holding a firearm, she described him as a younger black male, possibly a juvenile, wearing a black shirt, with wild hair (free form). She observed the male get into a black suv with grey trim and continued East on M St. [WITNESS #3] said she attempted to take a photo of the vehicle, and it was very blurry. I uploaded this photo to evidence.com

Perry Place Apartments Brunswick, GA 31520
On the above date I, Det Futch, responded to the above listed location in reference to shots fired. When I arrived, I made contact with Ofc. Acevedo and [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] did not need any medical attention.
[VICTIM #1] stated that she was walking on M Street with her mother [VICTIM #3] and [VICTIM #2] (2 year old son) when 3 people got out of a black SUV. She recognized Precious Simon and Tayona Roberts. A unknown black male was with them also. She stated that the black male is Roberts brother but she does not know his name. She stated that these 3 individuals approached her and there was an exchange of words. She stated that Roberts and Simon acted as if they wanted to fight her. She stated that she started walking away from them when the male took a gun from his waistband and started shooting at her. She stated that she started running towards her apartment and they chased her. She was able to get inside of her apartment.
[VICTIM #3] stated that she grabbed her grandson and started running when the male started shooting. She stated that she went the opposite way towards In and Out. Officers located evidence which I photographed and collected. The following items were collected;
- 9 mm Hornady shell casing (Stonewall Street near the intersection of M Street)
- the fence damage (not collected)
- a brown show (Tayona Roberts)
- a brown shoe (Tayona Roberts)
- 9 mm Luger bullet (M Street)
- 9 mm Hornady shell casing
- piece of shrapnel located on sidewalk in front of [200 BLOCK] Perry Place
[VICTIM #1] stated that Roberts ran out of the brown slippers/shoes that were in the grass area on M Street at the entrance of the apartment complex. She stated that Roberts had purple hair. She described the black male to have dreads, a white t-shirt, jeans and green boxers. She stated that she is familiar with both Roberts and Simon. Both [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #3] wanted charges pressed against Roberts, Simon and the unknown male.
The fence on M Street side of this complex was damaged. Also the door to #[200 BLOCK] was damaged. The bullet went through the door of [200 BLOCK] and we attempted to make contact with any occupants. Due to no answer at the door, the property manager unlocked the door. Once the residence was cleared, more damage was noticed. I took pictures of the inside of the residence. The bullet traveled through the door, through the wall then through the wall in the bathroom.
It was stated that the SUV was a newer model that was either black or dark blue with a paper tag. [VICTIMS] was confronted at M Street and Stonewall Street by these three people. She walked away from them. The 3 people then got out of the Suv and continued to go after [VICTIMS]. The unknown male retrieved a firearm from his waistband and shot at [VICTIMS]. [VICTIMS] ran and all three people ran after [VICTIMS]. The three then got back in the SUV and fled the scene. Warrants was signed for Roberts and Simon for 3 counts of Aggravated Assault (a party to) since they were positively identified by [VICTIM #1].
I was advised that the paper tag was from Pine Ridge. I responded to this business and was advised that neither of these subjects purchased a vehicle from this business.
The shell casings that were collected will be sent to the GBI Crime Lab to be entered into NIBIN.
