On January 28th 2026 at approximately 0221 hrs, I was dispatched to 5272 New Jesup Hwy in reference to a stabbing.
Upon my arrival, I pulled up to the front of the hotel and exited my patrol vehicle when I was informed that the suspect, later identified as [VICTIM #1] was in a white vehicle parked in the parking lot. Due to this statement, I un holstered my duty issued weapon and approached the vehicle (a white Nissan Murano bearing GA tag [REDACTED]) while Officer Shipskie (#112) pulled in behind it. Once Officer Shipskie and I were ready, we began approaching the vehicle until [VICTIM #1] opened the driver side door and looked outside.
I ordered [VICTIM #1] to step out of the vehicle and place his hands in the air while keeping my firearm at the low ready position. [VICTIM #1] initially had a hard time following commands, but eventually began complying and moments later, was detained without incident.
[VICTIM #1] was walked to my patrol vehicle where he was secured. Once other officers were on scene and were able to secure the scene, I read [VICTIM #1] his Miranda rights and asked if he would be willing to speak with me. He agreed.
I asked [VICTIM #1] to tell me what happened. [VICTIM #1] advised he went upstairs to speak with Rahiem and get his tools back after giving him a ride to Eagles Point. Rahiem invited him upstairs to get a couple dollars for gas and his tools back. When they get up there, Rahiem “ole lady” walks out the room and begins going the opposite direction while he pushes [VICTIM #1] down the hall telling him to go the other way. [VICTIM #1] tells him to stop and ask why he is being like he is. He then gets a buddy and ask him “are you ready to do this”. [VICTIM #1] sticks his hands in his pocket where he had a clip-on knife but Rahiem is able to grab it and throw it on the ground. Once he throws the knife, they began beating him by punching him and stomping him. This entire altercation took place in the hallway.
[VICTIM #1] then begins to say that they were beating him down, and his ears were starting to ring, and he blacked out once they started stomping him. [VICTIM #1] stated he thought they would kill him. HE began blocking his head and trying to get away from them. [VICTIM #1] stated he was in fear for his life, and he defended himself by blocking the stomps and kicks. I asked if he had cut anyone with a knife, and he stated he did not know. He grabbed for his white knife and tried to threaten them. He then stated someone had said he winked at a girl which is also what started the incident. I asked again if he cut someone with a knife, and he began crying and stated it was possible. He began telling me he did not remember everything.
[VICTIM #1] described everyone involved in the incident as follows:
- “Quiz”- 6’03, black male wearing a white shirt with designs
- “Friend”- Black male, 5’07-5’08, red jacket with a black mask
At this point, I stood by on scene until [VICTIM #1] became unresponsive in the rear of my patrol vehicle and could not stay sitting up right. Due to this, I transported him to the hospital in an emergency fashion. I waited at the hospital until I relieved by Officer Henderson (#144) and Officer Valle (#184).
All property was turned over to them.
