On the above date and time, I, Officer Brooks, was dispatched to Brunswick Commons Court in reference to a problem person complaint.

Upon arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1] (Complainant/Victim), who advised that Shamar Grant (Arrestee) had been repeatedly coming to her residence and refusing to leave her alone. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that on the evening of 07/18/2026, she and Mr. Grant were involved in an argument after he allegedly changed the passwords to several of her social media accounts without her permission. As a result of the argument, Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that she told Mr. Grant to leave her residence. She further stated that after being told to leave, Mr. Grant threw a bottle containing alcohol at her front door, causing damage and leaving a visible dent.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that on 07/19/2026, Mr. Grant returned to her residence and repeatedly knocked on both the front and rear doors. She further stated that Mr. Grant continuously called her from multiple telephone numbers after she stopped answering his calls. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that she no longer wanted Mr. Grant at her residence and requested that he be issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.

While on scene, I made contact with a nearby neighbor, who advised that he had heard Mr. Grant knocking on Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s door and causing a disturbance in the area. Based on my investigation, the statements provided by Ms. [VICTIM #1], and the corroborating information provided by the neighbor, I established probable cause to arrest Mr. Grant for Disorderly Conduct.

Mr. Grant was advised that he was under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. His hands were secured behind his back in handcuffs, which were checked for proper fit and double-locked. A search incident to arrest was conducted, and Mr. Grant was secured in the rear compartment of my marked patrol vehicle.

While seated in the patrol vehicle, Mr. Grant stated that he had only returned to the residence to retrieve a chain that belonged to him before leaving. Mr. Grant further advised that on the evening of 07/18/2026, he and Ms. [VICTIM #1] had been drinking, when they became involved in an argument. He alleged that Ms. [VICTIM #1] struck him in the eye during the altercation. When asked why he had not reported the alleged assault when it occurred, Mr. Grant stated that he did not wish to pursue the matter at the time but now wanted to report it because he was being arrested.

Mr. Grant was advised that if he wished to pursue his allegation against Ms. [VICTIM #1], he could seek a Good Behavior Warrant through Magistrate Court. Prior to transport, Mr. Grant was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning for Brunswick Commons Court and was advised that he was prohibited from returning to the property. He was informed that any future return to the property he will be arrested for Criminal Trespass.

Mr. Grant was then transported to the Glynn County Detention Center, where he was turned over to detention staff for booking and processing.
