[NARRATIVE #1 on June 09, 2026]
On 06/09/2026, I, Ofc. F. Santana #481 with the Brunswick Police Department, was dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, I made contact with the involved parties, later identified as [VICTIM #1] and Terrell Jermone Carmena. During the investigation, I separately interviewed [VICTIM #1], Carmena, Carmena’s grandfather, and briefly spoke with [VICTIM #1]’s mother.
[VICTIM #1] advised that she and Carmena became involved in a verbal argument while traveling in a vehicle with their minor child, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], present inside the vehicle. [VICTIM #1] stated that during the argument, Carmena struck her in the face with an open hand. While speaking with [VICTIM #1], I observed a visible red mark on the right side of her face consistent with her statement. Photographs of the injury were taken by Sgt. DeBruijn and uploaded as evidence.
I subsequently made contact with Carmena. During a recorded statement captured on my department-issued body-worn camera, Carmena admitted that he struck [VICTIM #1] in the face with an open hand during the argument.
Throughout the investigation, the statements provided by [VICTIM #1] and Carmena were substantially consistent regarding the physical altercation. The information obtained from the involved parties and witnesses corroborated the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation further revealed that the parties’ minor child, [REDACTED], was present inside the vehicle and witnessed the family violence incident.
Based upon the victim’s statement, the offender’s admission, the corroborating witness information, the visible injury observed on the victim, the photographic evidence, and the totality of the circumstances, probable cause was established that Terrell Jermone Carmena committed the offenses of Battery (Family Violence) in violation of O.C.G.A. 16-5-23.1 and Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree in violation of O.C.G.A. 16-5-70(d).
It was determined through my investigation that Carmena was the primary aggressor. Carmena was taken into custody and transported to the Glynn County Detention Center without incident.

[NARRATIVE #2 on June 09, 2026]
On 06/09/2026 at approximately 1343 hours, I responded to [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic.
Upon arrival I spoke with [WITNESS #1] who advised his Grandson’s baby mom and his grandson have had an ongoing issue between the two. Mr. [WITNESS #1] advised that the female was not invited to the property and that she keeps bothering his grandson. Mr. [WITNESS #1] further advised that every time Mr. Carmena attempted to leave that she’d follow him and kept antagonizing the grandson.
Mr. [WITNESS #1] was not being fully cooperative with giving his statement however, he’d advise some details but then ignore certain questions. Mr. [WITNESS #1] advised he did not witness anything besides the Grand son trying to leave the property and her following him. They were arguing about the grandson spending time with the baby.

[NARRATIVE #3 on June 09, 2026]
On 06/09/2026 at approximately 1343 hours, I responded to [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic.
Upon arrival I spoke with Terrell Carmena who advised us that he did not have anything to say ask the victim. Mr. Carmena also stated that neither him nor the victim stays at [REDACTED] but he was his grandad’s house. He stated that nothing got physical no hits no punches was thrown. Mr. Carmena further advised that he was walking down the street and the victim following her.
We then asked Mr. Carmena for identification, and while another officer was running the information through GCIC, I asked him if at any time on June 09, 2026 did he hit her and stated he did hit her open hand but more like shoved her.
I then tried to begin speaking with the victim [VICTIM #1], who at the time did not want to speak with me. She stated that she came over for their baby to see the granddad. She stated he had walked down the street and she was following beside him, they got to Norwich St, and Mr. Carmena told her tio take him back to his granddad house. She agreed and advised me when he did get in he starting hitting on her closed fist from the passenger side of the vehicle while driving and the baby was in the backseat. She also stated this wasn’t the first time he hit and she denied medical attention.
Ofc Santana and I approached Mr. Carmena and placed him in handcuffs, they were checked for tightness and double locked. Mr. carmena was searched and placed in the back of the patrol, personal items left with his granddad and he was transported to the county detention center.
