On 20 June 2026, at approximately 0349 AM, a call was made to the Glynn/Brunswick communications center on 911 in reference to an active domestic disturbance at [200 BLOCK] Saddle Brooke Trace in Glynn County.
This caller advised 911 that there “is” a dispute between mother and sister, and it was physical. The caller went on to advise the 911 center that the mother has a knife that she retrieved from the kitchen. The caller then disconnected. It should be noted that the caller advised his phone number was [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and provided the name, Scott Hakim. Due to the nature of the call and the information provided by the caller, numerous officers began responding to the address on Saddle Brooke Trace.
Sergeant Paxton Edgy #154 arrived first on scene and advised that all the lights inside the residence were off. He did not notate any sounds of distress coming from the residence. After knocking on the front door, he made contact with an 18-year-old female who advised that everyone was inside the house asleep, and no disturbance was occurring. She was requested to go and grab her mother so the responding officers could check on her welfare as well as notify her of the call.
While at the residence, dispatch advised that the phone number that contacted 911 was different than the provided phone number. This phone number, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was associated with the area of “the cove.” After making contact with the mother and explaining the situation, Sergeant Edgy responded to the station to attempt to identify the caller.
While doing this, a second call to 911 was made by the same person [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. The caller again provided the Saddle Brooke Trace address and again advised there was a domestic dispute and again stated a knife was present. This time, there was a 99% phase to [3200 BLOCK] Cypress Mill Road, “The Cove”, apartment #[REDACTED]. Due to this, I responded to this location in an attempt to locate the individual making these false reports of crimes occurring within Glynn County.
We responded to the residence where the call originated. I asked for consent to come inside the house and speak with everyone inside. Once inside, everyone showed me their cell phones, where they had not contacted 911.
After interviewing everyone, I asked the sister for permission to use her cell phone. I entered the phone number that was continually calling 911, and her brother’s name popped up in the contacts. We found the brother hiding in the bathroom behind the door. After being Mirandaized, he admitted to calling 911 and reporting the domestic to emergency services because he was mad at his ex-girlfriend. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Glynn County Detention Center.
