[NARRATIVE #1 on July 14, 2022]

On the above date I, Det. Futch, responded to the above listed location in reference to a male and a female aruging. The dispatcher stated that the male had a gun. When I arrived, I made contact with [WITNESS #1] who is the mother of [VICTIM #1]. She stated that Zykee Reese had just left the this location. She stated that Reese had a gun and he was with a light skin black male. She stated that Reese had jumped on her daughter [VICTIM #1].

I knocked on the front door of [REDACTED] Glynnvilla and made contact with [VICTIM #1]. I immediately noticed that [VICTIM #1]’s right eye was turning purple/black and it was swollen. [VICTIM #1]’s pupil was red also. I asked her what happened to her eye and she stated that she did not want to talk about it. I offered her medical attention which she refused. She stated that she put ice on her eye. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that [VICTIM #1] told her that Reese poked her in the eye. [VICTIM #1] then stated that she recently broke up with Reese but he had came to her apartment. She stated that she can not remember what they were arguing about but he hit her in the face and that is why her eye looks like this.

She stated that she does not know if he had a closed fist or open hand. She stated that “[REDACTED]” had taken [JUVENILE #1] (1 year old) outside and neither of them witnessed this. She stated that Reese had on black shorts with palm trees and he was not wearing a shirt. She described “[REDACTED]” to be a light skin black male but she could not remember what he was wearing. She was unsure where they went to. When asked, [VICTIM #1] would not confirm or deny if Reese had a gun. Reese and [VICTIM #1] previously lived together and share a son together. [VICTIM #1] made it clear that she did not want a report or anything done but only wanted Reese to leave her alone.

I advised her that a report would be done because I would be failing to do my job if I did not. She did make a comment that this is not the first time that they have gotten into it but she would not elaborate or give a specfic number. Pictures of [VICTIM #1]’s eye have been uploaded to this case. Officers checked the immediate area and could not locate Reese. A warrant will be secured on Reese for Battery FVA also.
