On August 14, 2026 at approximately 1758 hours, Deputy C.R. MARTIN with the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division was notified by radio of a Be on the lookout (BOLO) in Ranger, Gordon County, Georgia.

Gordon E911 advised Deputies to be on the lookout for a 2019 Black in color Ford Ranger that was following the complainant [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #1] was operating a Red in color 2001 Ford Ranger. [VICTIM #1] advised Gordon E911 that a Black in color truck was following [VICTIM #1] and the driver possibly a CHARLES GORDON. [VICTIM #1] advised Gordon E911 that he did in fact have a gun in his Vehicle. [VICTIM #1] advised Gordon E911 that he did not want to pull over due to the GORDON subject would probably pull over with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] advised Gordon E911 that if both Vehicles were to pull over [VICTIM #1] advised that he was liable to shoot the other subject.

[VICTIM #1] advised Gordon E911 that he had talked to Gordon County Sheriff’s Office Detectives earlier on August 14, 2026 and this was possibly in reference to why GORDON was following [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] advised Gordon E911 that he had been driving in circle and GORDON continues to follow him. [VICTIM #1] stated that he was turning onto Red Bud Road heading West bound. Deputy MARTIN advised Gordon E911 that Deputy MARTIN was New Town Church and Red Bud Road to have [VICTIM #1] to travel to where Deputy MARTIN was located and Deputy MARTIN would conduct a traffic stop on GORDON. Deputy MARTIN advised Gordon E911 to advise [VICTIM #1] to pull into the Food Lion to await for a Deputy to speak with him. [VICTIM #1] advised that GORDON continued to follow him from Pleasant Hill Road all the way to New Town Church Road where Deputy MARTIN intervened.

Deputy MARTIN observed the 2019 Ford Ranger truck bearing Georgia Tag [REDACTED] traveling West on Red Bud Road and Deputy MARTIN was able to get behind the Vehicle, and advised Gordon E911 that Deputy MARTIN was conducting a traffic stop on the Vehicle on New Town Church Road across from the Food Lion Calhoun, Gordon County, Georgia. Deputy MARTIN made contact with the driver GORDON, and asked GORDON for his license. Deputy MARTIN advised GORDON the reason for the stop was his window tint appeared to be too dark and that [VICTIM #1] advised GORDON was following him. Deputy MARTIN asked GORDON where he was coming from today, GORDON stated that he was coming from Red Bud Road. Deputy MARTIN advised he could see that. Deputy MARTIN asked GORDON if he knew the guy he had been following, and where GORDON was heading to. GORDON stated that he was heading to Food Lion. GORDON stated that he had gotten off work in Jasper Georgia at 1615, and at the time of the stop was approximately 1808 hours.

Deputy D.B. LACKEY made contact with [VICTIM #1], and there was another active case where GORDON had his tires cut on a Vehicle, and GORDON believes that [VICTIM #1] cut his tires. [VICTIM #1] stated that is why GORDON had been following him throughout Gordon County, Georgia. Deputy MARTIN asked Deputy LACKEY if [VICTIM #1] wanted to file charges, and [VICTIM #1] stated that he did wish to press charges. Deputy MARTIN advised Deputy LACKEY to have [VICTIM #1] fill out a written statement form.

GORDON exited the Vehicle, and Deputy MARTIN returned to speak with GORDON again. GORDON stated that he came from Jasper Georgia around 1615 or 1645. GORDON stated that he was driving down Red Bud Road and saw a truck in front of him. Deputy MARTIN asked GORDON if he was following [VICTIM #1] in circles around the Sod Farm on Red Bud Road, and GORDON stated a Vehicle was in front of him. Deputy MARTIN then advised GORDON to turn around and place his hands behind his back and that GORDON was under arrest for Stalking. Deputy MARTIN asked GORDON if his tires got slashed and GORDON stated that yes they did.

Deputy MARTIN at approximately 1815 hours, read GORDON his Miranda Warning. Deputy MARTIN asked GORDON if his tires got slash, GORDON stated yes. Deputy MARTIN asked GORDON if he thought [VICTIM #1] cut them, and GORDON stated he knows that [VICTIM #1] slashed his tires. Deputy MARTIN asked GORDON is that why he was following [VICTIM #1], and GORDON stated he was not following him that [VICTIM #1] got in front of him. Deputy MARTIN double locked his handcuff. GORDON denied consent to search Vehicle. GORDON asked Deputy MARTIN if he could call someone to come get the Vehicle, and Deputy MARTIN stated yes. GORDON attempted to contact two different number and no one answer the phone on both calls. Deputy MARTIN advised to have list wrecker in route to retrieve the Vehicle. Cherokee Auto Towing was in route to take possession of the Vehicle. Deputy LACKEY stayed on scene with the Vehicle, and Deputy MARTIN transported GORDON to the Gordon County Jail without incident.

Deputy LACKEY spoke with [VICTIM #1] in the Food Lion parking lot. [VICTIM #1] advised that he had got off work and was heading home. [VICTIM #1] stated that he crossed Red Bud Road onto Owens Gin Road and when [VICTIM #1] got to the first curve he observed a Black Ford Truck that was coming off Owens Cut off onto Owens Gin Road, and the black truck got behind [VICTIM #1] and began to follow [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that he turned onto Evergreen Road and the Black Truck continued to follow [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that he then turned onto Highway 136 and continued East on Highway 136 until he got to the next road that went to the dump which would be Pleasant Hill Road. [VICTIM #1] stated the Black Truck continued to follow [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated he continued down Pleasant Hill Road until he got to Red Bud Road and the Black Truck continued to follow [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that when he got to Red Bud Road, [VICTIM #1] took a right to head West bound on Red Bud Road towards town. [VICTIM #1] advised Deputy LACKEY that the driver of the Black truck was [REDACTED], and that [VICTIM #1] was spoke to on August 14, 2026 about another incident that happened. [VICTIM #1] stated that he spoke with a Detective from the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office about the incident.

Deputy MARTIN attached the written statement that [VICTIM #1] filled out. Deputy MARTIN took out a state warrant on GORDON for Stalking. Cherokee Auto Towing arrived on scene and took possession of the Vehicle.
